Final: SDSU 74, ORU 67.

Jacks pull one out of their a**, but I'll take it.

Jacks are now 5-6 in the league. ORU drops to 3-8.

Daum with 38 and 17, Howell with 20 and 12, including 14-19 from the FT line. Nobody else did much of anything.


Jacks are now 2 games up on ORU, who is in last place in the league.

Both teams have 5 games left:

SDSU has @NDSU, @ USD, IUPUI, @ IPFW, and Denver.

ORU has WIU, @ IUPUI, @ Omaha, @ USD, and NDSU left.

As long as the Jacks don't crap themselves the rest of the way, they should be sitting pretty good. Tough road games left for SDSU.

Daum with 38. Howell with a strong 2nd half. King was a stud on defense.

Really had no business winning this one, but we fought through a ton of adversity.

Daum and Howell. Both with double-doubles. Those two guys really put a ton of pressure on a defense.

Howell seems to make some JUCO mistakes but by the end of the season he is going to be a great player. I love his aggression in driving to the basket.

This team has been fun to watch going through ups and downs.
