GDT: Jackrabbits vs Roos of UMKC

The former Summit League member is having the best start since 2001. They come to Frost at 6-2. They have losses to Creighton and Green Bay. some of their victories include Murray State, USD, Bowling Green, and Drake. The Roos are coming off some hot shooting games like the Jackrabbits, They shot around 50% in the past 2 games while hitting 23-42 from 3 point distance. They are averaging 44% for the year at the 3 point line. The top player Martz Harrison will not be in Brookings due to a suspension, but that may not hinder the roos since others have picked up the pace in their victory over the yotes in the first game without Harrison. The Jackrabbits are enjoying a 31 game home winning streak which may be protected as the Jackrabbits are finding their own pace. The 3 point accuracy of the roos will test the zone which is now the staple defense for the Jackrabbits. The weekend of wrestling, basketball, and football should bring the energy needed for the MBB and extend the home winning streak one more game. Go Jacks!!

The 31 game home winning streak is 3rd best in the country behind Kansas(45) and Kentucky (42). Doesnt seem that long ago we were at the top and here we are again at number 3. Its going to be tough to keep this streak going this year. Kentucky hosts #11 UCLA today.

Given where the two teams are at this point of the season, this one should be a real challenge. KC has beaten a handful of teams that have (probably) been better than SDSU to this point and will keep it rolling if we regress.

Updates and commentary would be appreciated because I can't watch or listen today.
