    Re: Transfers Leaving

Neither is a big surprise, but agree that losing Devine will hurt depth a bit.

Best wishes to both young men!

      Re: Transfers Leaving

Will be interesting to see how this changes up what positions we are offering. The first couple of offers went to guards which made sense since we graduated 5 of them. With 4 schollies available I would be curious to see how they would like to use them since we are typically a guard dominated team.

If an acceptable 4 or 5 is available you would think that at least one would be brought in. Especially since Vollbrecht had ACL surgery after football season, which raises questions about his ability to contribute right away.

Wish them the best. They sure seemed like good teamates. Always thought devine was going to be a bigger contributor as his career went on. His offense didn't realy develop till later but his defense was mostly good. Good for blocks but don't feel like he did other things as well or rebounded as good as he could have. Wish them the best where ever they go.

            Re: Transfers Leaving

With Devine leaving, the team now does not have any seniors to be. I'm sure the staff will save at least one scholarship to offer for the 2017 class.

I'm just glad Daum wasn't on that list.

This. SDSU wasn't the best match for Logan. Good luck to him. I wasn't aware Connor was graduating. He's been a great role player and I wish him the best.

                  Re: Transfers Leaving

Understandable on both accounts and best wishes to both guys! I had a feeling Doyle would transfer out as it appeared he was not apart of the immediate plan. Bummed about Devine, he really came on at the end of the season and would have played significant minutes next year as I see us starting both Ian & Daum. Interesting to see if we add a post seeing that LLV will most likely redshirt due to his ACL injury from this fall. Taking a post player to take a post player is a lot more risky that adding a guard for the sake of filling a roster spot in my opinion (*Hope that made sense). At this stage of the recruiting cycle it would be hard to find a Post player that would fill minutes right away next year. Usually those guys are swiped up in the early signing period!

Understandable with both. Doyle, I'm surprised it didn't happen last year. Devine, the guy has family, and I feel he'd thrive at a smaller university.

As for recruiting, I'm expecting a grad transfer. I wouldn't be surprised for 2-3 JuCo/grad transfers. Wouldn't be surprised about a regular transfer as well.

If your looking for a list of transfer names, the internet is full of them. Check out this list from ESPN. It has a huge list and some nice insight on a few.

Keep in mind that Adam Dykman is a power forward type player that will add to the depth of the front court if he can be a contributer. I've heard is a talented rebounder and has a nose for the ball.

I didn't know Connor's wife was also from Wasilla, AK. Good for them. Tough decision, but very tough with a young child.

Unfortunately with today's coaching news I'm hearing there will be more transfers. This is going to be ugly for a while.

Our only recruit won't be coming here either I'm sure.
