This game should be a freaking slaughter. The Bison are without their leading scorer and point guard. Two starters and in our barn. But we're in love, apparently, with the three-point shot. Just an uninspired effort by a team that should be ready to crush. Frankly, this team has just underperformed this season. Injures had something to do with that. And we're just adequate at best on the road. What gives with this gang?

I'm assuming you're kidding, but what Tyler said is actually what Zimmer and the people on this board has been saying.

Flatten can NOT receive a medical redshirt for this year since he has already redshirted.

A hardship is different than a redshirt, as a hardship extends the 5 year window of eligibility to a 6 year, whereas a redshirt means that the season does count as a year of participation (you get 4) within the 5 year window.

A hardship requires missing 2 years due to injury, and many have said Flatten and SDSU will have to provide medical records that document that he was redshirted his freshman year due to injury.

It's one thing to apply, it's another thing for the NCAA to grant the waiver. We won't know till after his senior season.

That is what I've been saying, is that they would have to claim he lost 2 years to injury and prove it, but both people on here and Zimmer have said that there's no way that would happen.

What is it about playing this team that the Jacks can't pull away from?

Bison go 5-13 from deep which kept them in this game.

NDSU defense and that God-awful weave are doing their thing. THIS is what they do. The Jacks have missed plenty of open outside shots but it's tough sledding in the paint.

I might be remembering wrong, but in one of the live chats Zimmer said pretty much this. He might have had doubt about whether the hardship would be granted, but I'm pretty sure he mentioned the need to prove Flatten redshirted his true freshman year due to injury.

NDSU is also shooting significantly better from the outside than they usually do. I'm not sure why Kading becomes a sharp shooter when he plays up, but I thought Tyler mentions he only had like 4 three pointers on the year and already has 2 in this game.

Jacks look terrible to start the second half.

Bison lead by 4, down two starters, in the second half. I really hope the Jacks can pick it up.
