Correct. You can only use 3 timeouts in the 2nd half...

Does that rule apply to the men's game?

        I think so.

Nagy took a timeout in the first half at the 3:20 mark.

They also took a 20 second TO at the 14:27 mark. TT took two 20 sec. and one 30 sec.

How many TO's does each team get? I swear that the little score ticker indicated 4 TO's left with like a 15 seconds to go before half.

I thought it did too but they maybe missed it somehow updating it? I was on the dvr so sort of fast forwarded throguh a lot of it might have missed it.

Men get 4 timeouts and you can only carry over 3 to the 2nd half. Those 2 at the 14:27 and 3:20 marks are wrong, they're media timeouts.

Some of the timeouts will apply to the media timeout if called near the normal media break. They will count as a timeout and media at the same time. That is a rule change as well.

I understand but in these instances SDSU didn't call the timeouts. If you notice there are fouls called at the 14:27 and 3:20 marks which sends it to a dead ball media TO. Not sure why the SL page labels it like that but on GoJacks.com they have them as media timeouts.http://www.gojacks.com/ViewArticle.d...CLID=210591210

I think we have this one about solved.

As TT was going on that run at about the 10 minute mark in the second half I was thinking a timeout might be good. I knew Nagy wasn't going to call one though. For whatever reason his philosophy is not to use the timeouts like that.

He's won almost 400 games so he's obviously doing something right though.
My philosophy is call a TO and hope it somehow cools them off, scoring runs, it seems to me grow a life of their own, success breeds confidence, confidence makes your game run more smoothly,etc....etc.Like knocking down that first domino and watching something dramatic start happening.Stop them from making it automatic to score ,and do it as quickly as you can. That's just me, and i have no problem with however coach Nagy decides to handle runs.My philosophy and mine alone,no judgement implied here.Just making conversation.

It would not surprise me to learn that Coach Nagy learned this part from dear old dad, Dick who coached JUCO BB in Kansas for a bunch of years before going to Illinois. You make some excellent points here. Rep pts given

We lost to a 7-1 Texas Tech team! So, what? No it wasn't our best effort but relax my fellow Jacks fans. Aren't we are 9-2 and several of those wins without our all-conference point guard?

On to Florida! Have a metaphorical Pina Colada and relax on the imaginary beach for a while. Everything is going to be ok!

Texas Tech beat the longhorns today by 8. Last i looked, Tech was in the top 5 in RPI. Texas knocked off North Carolina a few weeks ago.
