Now with the Gophers losing on Saturday AND Marshall out, I just don't see it happening tonight. I know this isn't a good Gopher team, but they will be super focused and probably take this one easily.
I thought that too. But, then I thought about how low the Gophers must feel after getting beat by the Coyotes on their home court. Seriously, that has got to be an awful blow! It may throw them into a funk from which they may not recover!!!

Exactly what I was thinking. Marshall is the starting PG. It's kind of a big deal if he's hurt. Zimmer has not said anything and he is with the team. The Basketball twitter account hasn't said anything either.

I'm not saying its not true cause he has been dealing with his foot all season.

Zimmer probably won't say anything to even things out because of the Notre Dame crap. (sarcasm, maybe)

Why would we want to broadcast our starting PG and arguably best player is out?

The team is still very capable of beating the Gophers tonight without Marshall. I've watched Minnesota play 3 or 4 times and they have been less than impressive. The game should come right down to the wire. I would take the Jacks by 10 if Marshall was playing. Minnesota will come of motivated but so will SDSU. I'm certain that loss to UMKC is still on the Jacks mind. SDSU should have a good section of fans their as well.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some Daum at the 4 with Devine at the 5 tonight when Theisen is out of the game and more of Severyn at the 3 in order for Bittle to play more of a guard role.

Teams are out shooting around about 1.5 hours before tip off. They would see that Marshall isn't on the floor.

Jacks guard George Marshall is OUT. Has a walking boot on his injured right foot. SDSU always missing a key guard when they come here.

                Devil's advocate:

In order to report, he has to have a source, right? Maybe Coach Nagy told him, but it was off the record. Is Zim supposed to break the trust of a big 3 coach just to scoop a relatively unimportant story before conference play even starts in his first year on the job? That seems like he could be burning a pretty valuable bridge. What exactly is Zimmer supposed to do?

TV built a lot of professional and personal credibility at SDSU. That won't happen for Zimmer overnight.

                  Nagy pregame:

                  - Had a good week of practice.
                  - Treated Wayne St. game as a loss - was not happy with the effort.
                  - Jacks have 107 TO/99 assists. "That really bothers me".
                  - Marshall has "chronic lower leg injury - out for today". "shortens our bench - King and Layne will get an opportunity tonight".
                  - Minnesota bench is all frosh/soph - similar to the SDSU situation last year.
                  - "Will be a high tempo game"

Wow. Jacks are playing very well without Marshall. Up by 20, 37-17, with 4 minutes left in first half.

                                Halftime: SDSU 45, Minnesota 22.

Jacks were on fire most of the half.

Jacks shooting 51% including 8-12 from deep.

Bittle with 17 points. Parks with 9.

Minnesota shot 23%. Jacks +6 on the glass.

Need to keep the foot on the gas.
