    Skyler Flatten?
When you put on that jersey, the name on the front is more important than the name on the back.

It may be time to get some minutes to players that will be aggressive on the offensive end. Bittle played 37 minutes and took two shots - it's hard to imagine that is even possible. Horstman also only took two in 21 minutes.

Funny (not really) how similar the women's and men's games were.

No way we should have lost either game. Need to play better.

Anyone know what is the deal with Broman?.....
next to no playing time. Marshall has thrown off the chemistry. Why arent Bittle, Parks and Broman sharing the guard spots?

Scheel Arena was not friendly for the Jackrabbits today. There must have been kryptonite in the locker rooms since our shoes were so heavy the first half. 30% shooting from long distance needs to improve. Parks was 3-9 and 8-16 overall. That is a strong indication where he is more effective. Marshall has struggled from the field overall as he was
1-9. The Jackrabbits almost overcame all the slow of foot poor shooting first half and came within a point at the end. If the team gets a game where they play a full 40 minutes, there could be some wins. Wednesday would be a good time to see a complete game.

                      Re: NDSU GDT

I think this loss could (better) lite a fire into the team. There is no reason why Larson can't play every game like he did in the 2nd half. He was a monster and played possessed. Marshall has been a disappointment so far this season. He really needs to get his shots to start falling and setting up teammates more. This team is still one of the better teams in the Summit imo with a lot of upside. Not a lot of teams would come back after being down by 20+ points in the 1st half. The team finally gets to play a home game. Something that is much needed. The preseason favorite is 0-2 with a loss at home. There is no reason to panic. Winning on the road is always difficult, especially in conference. Ill start getting a little antsy if the Jacks don't perform well against WIU on Wednesday.

I'm not blaming Nagy on this loss. All the missed shots in the first half were good shots. Some wide open. Sometimes they just don't go in. The only thing I question is why Flatten didn't get into the game. He can be instant offense off the bench just like Telly. If Bittle and Horstman aren't going to be assertive on offense I would rather have Flatten and Telly in the game despite them being better defensive players. Bittle shouldn't be on the court for 37 minutes and only taking 2 shots. That is unacceptable on his part. He needs to start playing like an all-league player that he is. Another thing I would like to see going forward is to see Moffitt getting a consistent 10-15 minutes a game. The offense seems fluid when he is on the floor and he has good size as a PG.

We spotted two of the better teams in the Summit League 20 points on the road and still came close to winning both games this weekend. We'll be okay.

I hope and pray we don't make a habit of this or I will start giving my money other causes.

I don't see Larson playing the whole game every game like he did in the 2nd half of this game. I think he would probably wear out. He should have stepped up a little sooner though and we could have won this game. Marshall is 4-17 from the floor and he has ZERO assists and 7 TO's over the last two games(both conference games). I thought that he was the only real point guard we had on the team(other than Moffitt). I don't know if the other players aren't getting into spots where they can score from or if he just isn't getting them the ball but that needs to change.

No doubt Marshall stats have got to improve and I suspect they will. Lets hope we play the right way on Wednesday.
