Re: GDT: SDSU @ Texas Tech

Chad White gets his 1,000th and 1,001st point.

    SDSU down 68-54

Josh White, Broman, and Jacobsen in. TV said Donlan didn't even make the travel roster. How is that possible?

All 27 have been WIDE OPEN. This Jackrabbit team excels at missing shots and playing bad defense. Pretty good at turning the ball over as well. Holy moly, that was hard to watch.

Can I be honest? This team is terrible right now. No indication they will improve based on what I saw tonight. Nagy has to be furious or simply resigned to defeat.

Yeah, I noticed he wasn't on the bench...I'm going to guess that he isn't 100% yet so the coaches felt he wouldn't be able to contribute so they left him at home with Bittle. I can't remember how many I saw, but I think we only take 10 players when we fly atleast(not completely sure on this).

Passing terrible, shooting worse, free throw shooting good, Devine good, Larson good, Dykstra rebounding good, everybody and everything else bad including Texas Tech. Also, gosh I want to cut Hannahs hair so bad.

We all knew this team was going to struggle without Nate, but this teams issues go way beyond that. They are missing open shots and free throws. Perhaps relying on Nate made them not have to work as hard (unlikely) or perhaps having a NBA point guard for 4 years made every player look wwy better than they actually may be...

Either way, if they dont figure it out fast, we will be fighting to make it to Sioux Falls. I think (hope?) they will get it together by the time we get to conference season.

All teams will be in SF. In fact, only 7 are eligible this year. 1 seed will get a bye. Won't be this jackrabbit team. They suck right now. That is a fact.

Nagy: "We've been awful from 3 this year. Awful. Didn't play with a lot of confidence. Having four seniors, we should play with more confidence than we do."

"When you win you don't foul on plays like that, (the foul on the 3pt attempt before half), half to cut those kinds of plays out. We're not doing it right now. We're all frustrated. We fully expected to come in here and win. Everybody is disappointed. Did a lot of things right (won rebounding battle, played well defensively), not shooting well, putting too much pressure on D."

"Not making jump shots is affecting everything."

Is it that simple for this team. To make jumpers?

The coaching staff has to accept some responsibility for not having a legit point guard on the roster. Let's be honest - Carlson isn't a natural point guard and Broman isn't ready to be one at this level. And Bittle was moved to the off guard before he got hurt And I don't know that all that many of the threes were really good looks - a lot seemed to be forced because nothing else was available. Nothing like our shooters were used to when the point guard would penetrate and kick it out rather than just passing it around the perimeter.

Thats right, I completely spaced that off...I must have been distracted by all the loud clanging of the team's jumpshots

This. It isn't like Nate left early. I understand he left some giant shoes to fill, but it is the staff's job to have players and schemes to lessen the blow. I just havent seen eithrr yet.

Not judging this team at all until beginning-middle of conference season. Jacks can shoot just need to start making their shots. Need to feed Larson down low more and would like him to get his 3ball going and start shooting from there more as well

Alright!! Positive vibes. Makes my 10 season tickets to watch crappy basketball less enticing however.

This is when having Monaghan on the roster would've been HUGE.
