I actually think Gaines starting out hot from 3 actually helped the Jacks in the long run.
He's not known as a huge 3 point threat...more of a penetrator...and two of those first 3 were from ridiculously far out.
You could see in the second half he was counting on that. Also think White and Carlson really were frustrating him. He lost his cool when the game started slipping away.
Very impressive performance by the Jackrabbits. Maybe their best performance of the year. IPFW was playing great...and not just the game before against Oakland...they had won 6 in a row. That was a good team, playing well.
