feel free to correct me but I think we have only played Heemstra and Bittle off the bench so far in this tournament?

Last game notwithstanding White has been on fire lately. Keep the Jacks in the game early. Dykstra made some shots in second half. Gaines was hot early cooled off late. Great to see the Jacks get punched in the mouth early and slowly chip away and pull away in the second half.

4 turnovers in the half is acceptable. So much better than 10.

Nice show of toughness in the second half. Took a punch to the mouth to start the game and had the mental fortitude to get back up.

              Championship game tomorrow!

Heemstra hit a couple big buckets late in the first half. After he hit them he showed some emotion. He was a big spark plug.

Lowest starter minutes=36. Hard to keep that up deep into a tournament.

It is somewhat easier when your opponents also play shallow benches--you'll find that NDSU's and WIU's numbers look a lot like SDSU's:

As Vandrovec pointed out earlier this year. A short bench is not a liability this year. A deep bench would be an asset, but as events have shown, they may not need that asset this year.

Sure, we all want more bench, but we are already"deep into a tournament".

Since beginning to process this victory while sitting at the SF Arena, I become more convinced as more time passes that this was an impressive win for the Jackrabbits. IPFW was a strong team coming down the stretch this season and was playing at their peak in this tourney. The IPFW players were confident, energized and tenacious tonight. The Jacks took their best shot and didn't look good at times, but they absorbed the best that IPFW could give, and then purposefully took their opponent apart and won convincingly in the 2nd half.

Chad White is the man. He was huge and had no fear. Nice to think of him being a strong leader next year.

Can't wait for tomorrow. What a great day to be a Jackrabbit fan.

White and Carlson got deep into Frank Gaines' head in the second half.

True. So true. There was one particular point in the second half when Gaines really came unglued and was barking at his teammates because they didn't get him the ball on the possession, and then he committed a frustration foul on the other end. When he completely lost it, within a couple of minutes the rest of the team followed and they were done.
