Almost three times in a row (bracket buster game in between).

      - The last time SDSU had a larger rebound margin than the 26 (50-24) vs. UNO tonight was vs. Puerto Rico Bayamon on Feb. 19th, 2005 (50-22). A span of 250 games.
      - Only SDSU player in the last 10 years to have more than the 17 rebounds that Jordan Dykstra had tonight? 18, Kai Williams at Centenary 2007.

One more reason to despise that pathetic excuse for a basketball program at UMKC. What a joke.

Good trade, Kansas City for Denver, no?

It's the Summit League version of sending Herschel Walker to the Vikings.

Great energy to start the game. Not concerned about the run UNO made, basketball is a game of runs all that matters is the score when the final buzzer sounds. Chad White was stellar and I think he is ready to shine in the SLT. Dykstra couldn't hit an outside shot but was once again a force on the boards and perfect from the line. Tony played like the Tony we all love. Nate did a great job of moving the ball around. Marcus was huge off the bench and Braden had a solid game. This was a great way to bounce back after the 2 road losses.

Nate was 3-7 from the line, missed some big FTs against CSUB as well. This is a little concerning to me. Granted, he was 8-11 in the CSUB game and 3-3 against Murray (are only 3 FTs of the game). He was 7-17 last night, shot much better from the floor in the previous 2 games. No doubt he is not at 100%. When I first saw the schedule I thought the off weekend to end the season might hamper the Jackrabbits. Now I know its just what the doctor would have ordered.

This team looked really good last night. I like the up tempo pace of the first 30 mins with the intensity of the defensive right in line. Got a little complacent when they made their run, no big deal. Next game will be a fun one. See you there.

A beautiful pass by Dykstra and Carlson's dunk from last night.

so who else feels that 3/9/13 at 6pm cant get here fast enough. well for that matter, 3/9/13 at 12pm. I am stoked about this tourney. will be heart breaking if either team looses, would love to send them both to the dance again, but the consolation is their will be nit, or something for the teams should they loose. just hope we dont have to worry about that.

This one could of easily been a 20-25 point margin if SDSU made their FT's. It turned out to be a 18 point game but Nate missed 3 FT's at the end and both Feigen and Heemstra missed the front end of 1 and 1's during that big run. I'm glad Dykstra stepped up and hit his FT's.
There were 4 TO's during that run. I think 2 of them came off of offensive rebounds. I don't know if coming down in traffic was a problem of what. Actually a 3rd TO come off of a defensive rebound. The other TO was by Carlson so that had nothing to do with rebounding. You have to love the rebounding margin but those 3 times we turned it over right after the rebound. I don't know if it happened many more time during the game or not. I think we only attempted 2 field goals during that stretch. They were both by Nate. It's tough when you don't even get shot's up.
I could be wrong on some of this but I think I'm close.

Dang it Jackmd, this bothers me every time you do this. It is Brayden (with a "y"). Sorry pet peeve of mine, the misspelling of people's names.

I agree. It is going to be a long week. Really long. At least the NDSU/Omaha game sounds like it will be on Midco tomorrow. I'll be following USD/WIU too. After that, we'll be left with nothing but endless speculation and aticipation for Sioux Falls. Going in with a all-or-none attitude for both teams sure does raise the emotional stakes for us fans. There will definitely be some nervous moments.

Carlson sure has been looking for those dunk opportunities lately. Maybe he'll get a couple in the tournament that will get the crowd roaring.

I think iwht Carlson a big part of it is Coach has been wanting him to be more aggressive lately. He is capable to do it, he can shoot the 3 and drive and cuts to the basket, sometimes i wonder if he defers to the others guys more then anyone else. Every time he shoots the 3 I think its going in.
