  • Re: GDT Western Illinois

    - SDSU has given up 100 points combined last two games. Second lowest total since 1991. Topped by Nov. 22/25 94 pts vs. Dakota State and Minnesota-Morris.
    - 2nd lowest total in a regular season game. SDSU gave up 97 points combined in back-to-back games in last year's Summit League Tournament.

Parks is a heck of a player and wears his emotions on his sleeve but that "Volleyball" huddle he initiates before every free throw makes me smh. That's the only thing I don't like but he can ball.

Great atmosphere. Benn covered thoroughly. That is what Frost needs to become on a regular basis. What recruit doesn't want to be a part of that. Also, I thought that Coach Nagy's comments on Nate and Tony after the game were really on point and were very classy. A special tribute to two special players.

As for Summit Tournament. I just don't see a future for it anywhere other than Sioux Falls unless they move it from school to school or change the rules for it being a "neutral" court. The four schools that draw the most fans are all within an easy drive. This region is into it as where in Indianapolis or Chicago they won't hardly even know its in town. Now with the new events center being built it will only grow.

Heck, for schools like WIU, IPFW, IUPUI, and Oakland, outside of a game on their home court, there will be more people cheering for them in Sioux Falls than anywhere else. The SDSU, NDSU, and the fans of that other school will be cheering for them to beat their rival teams.

Great send off! Thanks again to Nate and Tony. They've left a mark that will never leave SDSU! It might be time to retire that #3 jersey. Just sayin!

We need to bring that atmosphere to Sioux Falls! Something tells me that will happen!

All aggravation had to do with the other coaches complaining about the tourney in Sioux Falls. Nothing more. Might have come off otherwise. Sorry. Let's move the tourney to San Jose just to be fair to everybody!

Coach Mo did not appear to be joking when he was talking about senior night at SDSU. He seemed dead serious. I like him and he's a great coach, but that annoyed me.
Grumbling along and embracing my role. If I didn't care, I wouldn't care. Go Jacks!

Well he has played the Jacks on the Jacks Senior Night 2 out of last 3 years and have lost both times so I'm sure he's just tired of losing on Senior Night and playing the Jacks on Senior Night

The way I see it the only other option for the tournament would do what the Horizon does and have it at the higher seeds campus. But my guess is that more money is made on how they do it now

I fail to see that but even so it still bugs me. Heck, it nearly bugs me when vball players do it.

It looked to me like he was being sarcastic/snarky. IMO, he was joking, but it sure would suck to play at SDSU on senior night so much.

I think he was envious of SDSU and their fans. I am sure he enjoyed the same biased crowd when SDSU won down their. He no doubt did not like the outcome of the game, but loved his crowd. Also lets not forget he was part of a coaching staff that drew sellout crowds at the Rosemont, near Ohare Airport in Chicago, where DePaul played their home games. He knows first hand what affect crowds can have on a game. I dont think he enjoys playing in an empty KC Arena any more than we do and the fact that he now was able to fill WIU facility has to be a feather in his cap. Before this year, they used one of the balconeys for storage as the crowds at WIU home games have been very small. Just ask Grizzled Jack.

I watched Molinari's post-game comments, and the word that came to my mind was "bemused."

Molinari is among the Summit League coaches that I rather like, actually.
