I suppose the NIT has a system to break the tie if the above doesn't happen.
The NIT Selection Committee will conduct selections for the 2013 Postseason NIT, March 15-17. Any regular-season champion of an NCAA Division I conference (as determined by the conference’s tie-break protocol) not otherwise selected to the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship will secure an automatic qualification into the NIT. The committee will then select the best available teams to fill the 32-team NIT field. Once selected teams are seeded and placed into one of four eight-team regions. (ncaa.com)

There you go. So, if the NIT is the goal the #1 seed will guarantee an appearance. #1 seed will be determined as explained in the tiebreak scenario I provided previously.

obvisouly going to the big dance is the goal but at least the NIT tourney would be a nice fall back plan just in case the Jacks were to lose in the conference tourney.....

yes it is, but I would much rather not think about that scenario

I'd turn down the invite.............I kid, I kid. That said, I will be sorely disappointed if Nate Wolters doesn't get another shot in the Big Dance. And now back to the IPFW game.............

              Re: IPFW

I know that I'd love to see a continuation of the trend of more minutes for Horstman tomorrow night. Hopefully he is improving a little in practice too. Getting him some minutes in these last 6 games could pay off in Sioux Falls (and next year).

In bad media coverage news.... It does not look like Jackrabbit Extra will have video coverage of either of this week's MBB games. Maybe someone can find another video source and post a link here.

The Oakland game is on DirectTV. Don't know the channel off the top of my head.

Thanks. I found it. Fox College Sports Atlantic will have the SDSU/OU men's game.

DVR me ASAP. I'll be in Brookings for the HyVee fast break clinic and the OU woman's game. Will Cubby's have the men's game?

It also indicates Fox Sports Detroit. Another question is where do I get that channel? Watering holes like Cubby's or Buffalo Wild Wings should have it on the screen as well if you are in the Brookings area. The women's game is an evening game at 7 while the men play 4pm CST.

                        FS Detroit, DirecTV 663

Not showing up on my DirecTV listing for Fox College Sports (but they sometimes don't show up until the day of the game).

I have Swiftel cable here in Brookings and it is on one of my Fox Sports Channels - I already have the DVR set. Here is the Summit League site with all the TV games on FCS listed

I watched the WIU vs. OU game on FCS at BWW after the SDSU win over NDSU so they have it. I am sure Cubby's would too.
