    Re: UMKC

More excited about first half then worried about second half. It's going to happen when you are up by 29pts at half and take starters out at the end of the game. Is Horstman still injured?

        Re: UMKC

WBB at half Jacks lead 40-15
        WBB final Jacks win 82-47

MBB at Half Jacks lead 49-20
        MBB final Jacks win 77-61.

The women let UMKC pick up 32 points in the second half but still outscored the Roos 42-32, the men let UMKC pick up 41 points in the second half and were outscored 28-41. All I'm saying is that I like what AJ is doing (and congratulations on his 300th career win) and I'd like to see the men play a stronger second half in games like this.

Horstman played the last 5 minutes.

I saw that but he completely bricked a 3 and didn't do much else which is why I wondered if he is still not 100%

I feel the same. I'm more concerned about slow starts (see NDSU) than weak finishes in blowouts. Tonight definitely had the potential for one of those slow starts, being somewhat of a trap-game between NDSU and USD. I was very pleased to see us roll right out of the gate. I'll be in the stands at Vermillion and hope to see the same!

What is the minimum a guy has to lay down on sites like the one posted above? And how does the payout work? If I would've/could've laid down 20 bucks on this game, what would I have walked away with after winning?

It's fairly complicated and not 100% legal. You need a credit card and you have to deposit some money upfront. You need to have proof of address and quite a bit of other stuff to claim the money.

No point in comparing them. AJ can win 20+ games using local talent and playing a 10-12 man rotation. Nagy cannot win 20+ games using local talent and playing a 10-12 man rotation.

And that factors into blowouts because AJ can't 'empty the bench'. The bench players here could probably start for half the teams in the Summit. But that's because of how big women's basketball is in this region. Comparisons are pointless. Just enjoy the ride.

Beg to differ. Nagy can win 20 games and use local talent. Just not using 10 man rotation.

I think that is why he said, "and playing a 10-12 man rotation".

I think his point is when the men get up big, they play players that don't get in much to rest the starters. The women only have a couple players that don't play normally so they have to play some of their normal rotation. The top 4 players on the mens team play a lot more minutes then the top 4 women's players so they could use the rest more when they get the chance.

Almost tired of comparing the two. Completely different styles. If Nagy used the same philosophies as AJ, no way they could win as much as they could. You can compare the success but you can't compare how each coach uses their players. Apples to oranges.

People need to realize coaches do things different for different reasons. But I still stand buy that Nagy uses local talent and can win. He just will do so with a 7-8 man rotation.
