The game is at historic Municipal Auditorium and so the Alumni Association has moved the pre-game event to the Power and Light District - Johnny's Tavern. I hope to see some of you in KC on Thursday!

There are two or three road games that I don't see as "must win" situations. This is not one of them. KC has lost 7 of their last 9 games. They did, however, go on the road and win at UND, whom we beat on a miracle buzzer shot at home. Being sandwiched between NDSU and USD, this one does worry me a little.

This team has always responded in a positive manner after a loss. I am looking for a good effort in KC.

UMKC lost to Omaha tonight by 12. Jacks should win easily and I expect them to play better.

I expect the same. The team has bounced back with a solid win after each loss (except Hoffstra, after which they barely survived Marshall).

As to over-simplified keys to the game, here's an obvious one. I took a quick look at the box scores in the DI games in which Wolters has played. SDSU has won every game in which the rest of the team (non-Wolters) has scored 40+. In the four losses the non-Wolters scored 37, 38, 36 and 36 points. That pretty crazy when you consider that there are usually six or seven guys to account for those points. In the wins the non-Wolters averaged 56 points.

My goodness I hope your correct! We seem to play up or down to our compition. Tough game to get up for when you sandwich New Mexico, NDSU and USD around UMKC.
