Shooting percentages, NDSU 50%, SDSU 47.8%. Ours has climbed from 40-41% with that 11-2 run at the end.

We got 20 minutes to win this one, which is all we need.

Felt hitting 3s for the Bison. That's his role...usually he doesn't fill it very well. Tonight he's hitting some but I think he'll revert to form and cool off.

Agree that Fiegen has turned on the defense. The entire team made an excellent defensive recovery. Braun, who has been getting a bit of hype, has zero points.

Wolters has had a couple of his floaters bounce out from half-way down. If he starts getting those to fall we are in good shape. He's drawn a few fouls too. Carlson deserves a lot of credit for keeping the Jacks in the game.

Jacks are on a 19-10 run since early in the half.

Dykstra and Prince (I think) each had a shot almost go down or roll around on the rim before falling out. It makes me yell at the screen (for all the good that does).

Shutting down Braun is really good. We'll have to make sure that if he's going to contribute in the next half that it's only minimally. I want to see White and Dykstra get some points.

                  Re: NDSU Round 1, GDT

Since we spent some time discussing the SDSU bench here this week.... some stats from the first half:

SDSU bench: 2 points, 1 assist, 0 rebounds, and 2 fouls.

I don't like our odds of surviving a long conference season, capped off by 3 games in 3 days at Sioux Falls without a little more help from the bench.

That's not likely to continue in the second half.

With no points from Dykstra or White,we're fortunate to be in the shape we are.

On a related note, I'm not sure what's worse: The fuzzy, lower resolution video that we get for games at Frost, or the terribly deinterlaced video from games in Fargo. Nice to have video at all, but I think both schools could get some better equipment/online broadcasting capabilities.

                          Second half....

Braun hits a three to enter the scorebook. 32-27 NDSU up

                          Fiegen layup. 32-29

I think the conference could find a better server than Neulion. Was able to watch both the Belmont and New Mexico games with little or no problems.

Braun starts with a 3. Fiegen responds with a nice move down low. 32-29.
