    SDSU @ NDSU 7:00 PM on 12/29/12
18 days will answer the question on round one.
Nothing like having an early conference game with some interest. Go Jacks!

Just for giggles and to hype the game up, I will wager that the winner of that one will be the regular season conference champion. An SDSU loss and there will be that sour feeling similar to the Alabama game but an SDSU win up in Fargo will point the Jacks in the right direction and set the tone.

The Jacks wins over Marshall and Tenn.State trump any wins the Bison have so far. They have a bunch of wins over teams picked towards the bottom of their conferences, and lost to a middle-of-the pack Horizon League Green Bay team. Now that can all change if they go into Williams tonight and play the Gophers tough, but even if they do you have to ask what the results would be if Taylor Braun or Lawrence Alexander plus their top bench player would not play. The Bison are a top end of the conference team, but it's pretty early to call them the favorite to get to the Big Dance.
The autobid in his bracketology always goes to the highest kenpom ranking. In this case NDSU is about 50 spots ahesd of SDSU.

As we speculate about NDSU, the Western Illinois fans are considering which seed they may be when the big dance begins. They are currently leading the Summit 2-0 and they are confident that their team is for real as well. This could be an interesting season for the conference. Hopefully our team gets their identity formed on this upcoming road trip before the conference begins. Go Jacks!
