Hopefully a tough month on the road will put some edge on this team and allow them to play up to their true potential. There's plenty of season to go.
Agree. You can say there is time to improve, injuries have been the main factor, things will get better, etc... Fact is this team is not playing at a level where anyone should consider them "overwhelming" favorites. It appears NDSU is playing the best right now. USD appears to have some potential to shake things up as well.

The Jackrabbits have some serious work to do if they want to contend for this years title. I hope they get it done on the road this month.

We will see the season progress in February when the jacks go to California for the rematch.

Sour grapes if you ask me. Their kids were hounding us. I thought it was a well officiated game.

Just a suggestion, but you may wish to consider leaving attempts at humor to people who can actually, you know, be funny.

It did kind of make me grin. Not in a man that was clever kind of way more in a smirky can't wait to get the Bison in Frost kind of way. Coach Nagy referenced the discrepancy in free throws. It happens.

I still haven't seen or heard a good explanation of WHY we are struggling like we are. (Seems weird to say that when we are 8-3).

Is it the "play humble" talk? I hope *that* kind of talk has been done away with.

Is it the loss of Griff? Was he the entirety of the grit on last years team?

We have basically the same team as a year ago, but *every* game seems so awkward this year for some reason.

If we believe your home to be Fargo and you were at the game yesterday, you had to have taken the back roads to get to Brookings for the game. Getting through the Coteau hills south of Sisseton had to be a challenge. I know as I travel those roads in lieu of going down I-29, which was closed yesterday, but some how you made it to the game to overhear the CSUB coach make his cute remark. Kind of wierd, but you have an IP from Sioux Falls? This will keep me awake tonight.

Coach Nagy also noted that CSUB's opponents average about the number of free throw attempts that the Jacks got. So maybe instead of an officiating problem, CSUB has a fouling problem.

He did but the fact he even mentioned it indicates that it was on his mind as well. It would make perfect sense if Just in the crowd is indeed a KWSN personality and the majority of them are.......well......(if you can't say something nice).....

I would like to know if Joe Lunardi has seen either team play. Looking at the Bison schedule,I don't see anything even close to a signature win so far. The Jacks wins over Marshall and Tenn.State trump any wins the Bison have so far. They have a bunch of wins over teams picked towards the bottom of their conferences, and lost to a middle-of-the pack Horizon League Green Bay team. Now that can all change if they go into Williams tonight and play the Gophers tough, but even if they do you have to ask what the results would be if Taylor Braun or Lawrence Alexander plus their top bench player would not play. The Bison are a top end of the conference team, but it's pretty early to call them the favorite to get to the Big Dance.

Not to look to far ahead, but Montana is the preseason Big Sky favorite(currently 4-3). They lost 1 game in conference last year to Weber State. They return some experience, but they currently have a senior guard injured. The Jacks should plan on playing in front of home crowd that will exceed 3000. It would be nice to not hear any background on the radio transmissions. It will be nice to see Jacks with another game where they exceed the number of free throws of their opponent. By the way, last year Jacks 569-783 FT and opponents 388-564. Nate had 240 attempts and Tauevann had 100 attempts to lead the Jacks.

                                NDSU has:
Lost to #1 Indiana by 26,
Lost to Wisconsin-Green Bay by 15.

                                SDSU has:
                                Lost to Alabama by 3,
                                Lost to Hofstra by 3,
Lost to #14 Minnesota by 24.

The Hofstra loss was a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad loss for SDSU. Hofstra is 3-7 and one of the worst teams in D-I. Green Bay is a middle-of-the-pack team this year so far.

NDSU has been playing exceptionally good defense, they've only given up 60 points twice. SDSU has only given up less than 60 points twice. SDSU's defense is bad.

On paper, NDSU looks to me like the better team at this point in the season. I think any objective look based only on this year's results would have to favor the Bison right now to win the Summit.

Of course, it isn't even Christmas yet. We shall see.

Jacks need to show up and win in Missoula, because the trips to Belmont and New Mexico are going to be much taller tasks than beating the Grizzlies. If the Jacks go 2-1 on this road trip, it will be a good sign (but only if it continues into the first three road Summit League games). 0-3 is a distinct possibility, though, even if the Jacks figure out how to play with intensity on both ends of the court for the full forty minutes.
