San Jose is very easy to get to from almost anywhere and usually reasonably priced. I will be stuck in New Orleans at meetings and just don't think I can pull the trip off. Very disappointed in myself. Maybe I can find a way to be at the women's game.

Money is a factor so the cheaper the better. I really want to watch this team in the big dance. Who knows when we may get this chance again.

How does SDSU sell it's allotment of tickets? I assume family gets a crack and then to the season ticket holders. After that are they released to the general public. Obviously I don't have tickets. I know it's possible to scalp them, but would like to be in the SDSU section if possible.

When I have attended the women's tourney they were released to season ticket holders based on priority points after players and family got their crack. No idea for the men's side of things, couldn't be in New Mexico last year.

          Re: Bracketology

A couple of conference tournament games to keep watching based on ESPN which has us as a 14 seed:

Tonight Bucknell (26-5) plays Layfayette (19-14) for the Patriot League Bid. They split the regular season series so Layfayette has a chance but it is an RPI difference of 55 compared to 167. A Layfayette win would help the Jacks. ESPN currently has Bucknell as a 13 seed.

Louisiana Tech (26-5) is also a projected 13. They could get upset later this week by future conference member Denver (21-8) which could help us move up or it might take a larger RPI upset in the about to implode WAC.

Akron is also a projected 13 seed and lost to Kent State last week so at 24-6 they are beatable. They also beat NDSU in the bracket buster. A good scenario in the MAC is to have Western Michigan (19-11) win it from the West Division.

          Time for March Madness!

The Jacks should be a 13 seed, the likely four seeds are beatable for the most part. I think the difference between 13 and 14 is pretty big right now.

I think Palm has it nailed down pretty well. There are some things I really question about ESPN's projection, no way Davidson is a 12 seed. That is just ridiculous.

Our win over the currect #2 RPI team should help us. Hoping for a 13 seed, but I'm not holding my breath. Much better to play a 4 vs a 3 this year I think.

I'll be shocked, absolutely shocked if we are a #13 seed. Quite frankly, our RPI and BPI don't call for us to be a #13.

With losses to hostra, and Cal state B, we dont deserve a better seed. Unless we could have beat Murray state then maybe that would have helped but as good as several of our wins were some of the losses hurt worse. Good teams are defined when you beat the teams your suppose too. We didnt do that.

I don't know, looking at some other teams with similar RPI's I'd say that jacks have the stronger resume then most. That New Mexico win is huge, winning @Montana is nice, playing NDSU in the title game was also good for SDSU because it provided another quality win.

Just completely ignore ESPN....their RPI ratings are not accurate and their BPI thing is meaningless and completely overhyped by ESPN.

Completely depends on who wins conference tourneys. If there are some upsets we could very well find ourselves as a 13. If there are very few upsets you are likely correct.

Our only losses were on the road so that should help, but yeah the Hofstra and CSUB losses hurt. We also could have used a win at Belmont or Murray State.

But but but the BPI takes into account more things than the RPI such as location of game, margin of victory, etc. It's better...just ask ESPN

I know, they've tried to push this BPI thing since the season started. It was the greatest thing ever up until a few weeks ago(they didn't even mention a team's RPI for most of the season), now they are talking more and more about RPI instead of BPI.

Yeah,ESPN loves to hype their own creations. That said,Jacks have 4 top 100 wins and 4 100-200. We also have 3 bad losses . I think we're gonna need some breaks in conference tournaments to get to a 13 seed.

The BPI has some good changes from RPI, but it also has some flaws as well. One thing that should be noted is its not suppose to be determinate in the committee, the only official # handed out to the members is the RPI, they can use the BPI, Pomroy and others but they are not provided.
