Yet Nate didn't make their preseason Mid-Major All-American Team. Peculiar. I find it hard to believe there are 30 better Mid-Major players than Nate Wolters.

This list just doesn't seem right. Doug McDermott is not on the list either, but another player from Creighton is on the list. I find that interesting to say the least.
Also Javon McCrea from Buffalo is on the list. Can't tell me Nate isn't better than him, just off of what we saw from the head to head game last year.
It is one of those situations that we need to review the list at the end of the season. McDermott and Nate will be contenders. Some of the pundits may be consdiering that Nate will not be the all around need for the Jackrabbits this year with the improvement of those on the team.
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife
Without even looking at it, if McDermott is off the list it's wrong and shouldn't be taken seriously. McDermott will be up for first team All-American in all of college basketball.

One interesting side note to Nate not being included on the preseason mid-major team, is that there are 21 voting members on the Award Committee and two of them are named Scott Nagy and Tom Douple. It is a bit odd that the Summit League commish and Nate's own coach would overlook him being on the team. McDermott has no coach or representative from the Missouri Valley on the committee to blame if he got overlooked.
The only qualifications that I could find on the Lou Henson web site lists the following:
Players eligible for the award will consist of teams from the following conferences: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Great West, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast.
