Great Effort by the Jacks! Toughest part is how close it was. We had opportunities that didn't have anything to do with playing Baylor. We had open shots and a couple of very uncharacteristic turnovers...ex. Nate dribbling off his leg. Baylor coming our flat was probably expected, but congrats to the boys. What a tough group!!

I'm very impressed with your kids and your fans... They played their hearts out... You should be proud... a few FT's and 3's go and it could have happened... Well played by your team.

Part of that had to be due to playing a lot of minutes. Haven't seen the box score - did Carlson ever sit ? Also, even if White's knee was feeling better,he certainly wasn't used to the extended minutes he got tonight.

Congrats on a great season Jacks...and congrats on your first trip to the dance. Good luck making an appearance next year. I just can't see us making enough of an improvement to go to the tournament so I hope you guys do.

Definitly. This reminds me of the start of the 2010 tournament, Baylor got a very similar game from Sam Houston State, went down to the last couple of minutes. But that game allowed them to get their nerves in check and then came back and absolutly destroyed their next 2 opponents before losing in the Elite 8 game against eventual national champion Duke in the final seconds (when Quincy Acy got called for a phantom charge).

Carlson went 39, more than Wolters, White 30. The whole team laid it all out tonight.

Great effort, you could tell they got tired, but they didn't give in. Ultimately Baylor's depth is what hurt them.

Not gonna lie I wanted to not like baylor but drew I think I am a fan of his. The players played hard. Didn't act cocky and they made a few more plays then us. They still are ugly unis though. All in all decent fans too. Sure like them better then oru or other fans that have come here.

Man, there are some angry people over on their angry forum. And in the game thread they gave us no respect - usual tripe about our kids' athletic abilities, etc.

Here's a post from when Jacks cut it to four with a minute to go: "If we lose this game - I'm going to saw off my left testicle."
Wish we would have pulled it out for that reason alone.

Game threads get a little stupid in the heat of the moment...I saw a guy say AJ Walton should have his scholarship revoked after a turnover...you just can't take that stuff to heart...passion of the moment...Scott Drew has been fired about 100,000 times in the game threads....

A lot of those turnovers were unforced turnovers. Haven't seen the guys shoot that bad from the stripe in a long time. Rebounding is another area which killed us (way too many offensive rebounds for Baylor). Guys hung in there and made a good showing.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

During our transition when we had 6 wins. Nagy for what seemed coudlnt get it done had a lot of forum talk about getting fired. Pretty glad we stuck with him. As much as I love sdsu I don't think I would sacrifice a gonad because of the outcome of a sporting event.

Now that the season is over (sad face), when should I expect Stu's article on how if SDSU wants to get further Nagy will need to go?

To bad the sioux falls arena can't host a first round game for us. In sioux falls I would have liked our chances even more.
