And I haven't read one person on here (other than maybe Baylor fans) that thought it should have happened.

The only red-shirt I know anything about is Jacobson, who is a walk-on.

The little I've heard about the kid from Bulgaria it sounds like he is more of that slasher/SF/ Dale Moss type of player but I don't really know anything so I'm not going to speculate

I dont' think anyone on this board is claiming we should have been beaten by 30 based on the actual game. Not sure where you are coming up with that.

Filbert's post sums up my thoughts exactly.

Some on this board are getting way too defensive (as expected, given the situation), not necessarily filling this thread with negativity.

Most of us are disappointed with the "what could have been", while some of us are saying "yes, but it could have been worse" and some are saying "yes, but it could have been better".

        Nothing wrong with that.

You are using circular logic. It's very simple. It's also worthless. Sorry.

              You're right. They've got a chance. But it ain't a good one.

I can't stand Coach K, but he'll have his players every bit as well prepped to play in terms of schemes as the Jacks were, and Duke's players are better.

For the first time in the history of this message board, I guess we disagree.

I don't get how people can't stand coach K. Because he gets the most out of his players? because he does a ton of charity work? anyone who every played for him never said a bad thing about him? Because a lot of his guys stay 3 or 4 years, he doesnt pump out 1 and dones like other top programs? Because he expects yells at refs like every coach does?

Anyway, He does a great job preparing his team and its hard to pick against them most any situation.

When I first saw the title to this thread I thought "G*d d*mn Texans - Baylor".... took me a few minutes to realize it was the Game Day Thread. (or maybe it was what I first thought. EEK!)

Anyway, your guys gave myself and a whole bunch of Baylor fans a lot of reasons to scream at our tv's. Hard fought game. Best of luck in the future.

Off topic I'm looking forward to see how far Norfolk State goes.

Not comparing your team to theirs, just that David does/did beat Goliath and all anyone ever wants is the chance to do it. There's always next year, Baylor fans have been clinging to that for years and years and only in the last 10 or so had anything to hang our hat on.

Everyone keeps saying if we would have shot our normal % from 3 pt range we would have won. Theres a reason we didn't shoot our normal %....actually there is a few of them.

We shot a ton from long range because we were too intimidated to take it inside.....so shots were forced and rushed rather than being patient to see what would develop on the inside.
We only played 6 guys any type of minutes at all. Our legs were shot at the end.
                      Too many NBA threes attempted.
We were playing at altitude.....going back to the legs and only 6 guys played.
We were playing from behind with the pressure to catch up rather than the comfort zone of putting in another dagger.
All just a few reasons why we didn't shoot our normal % from 3.

I thought they missed quite a few bunnies on offensive rebounds that could have put the game out of reach.

I love the Jacks and thought they had their chances last night, but if we play them 100 times we would lose by 20 more times than we would win.

You serious? He may be the biggest whiner to ever grace a sideline. He may be a great guy, but I can't stand to watch him on TV piss and moan about every single call that doesn't go his way.

Really? Because he expects the refs to call a good game just like how he expects his players to play a good game.....have you every watched any other college game? Kampe, hunter, fife, just 3 who worked in the summit league who act out on the court and yell and refs 10 times more then coach K. Sorry but that's just haters hating.

The only upset that they'd have to pull would be beating Duke and I'm not even sure if that would be much of an upset.
I wonder who Zooropa has in the elite 8? Lehigh?

Just wondering you opinion of if Lehigh should be invited to the ACC and Norfolk State to the SEC, since obviously they can compete with Duke and Missouri on a consistent basis (seeing as they actually won, instead of just staying close).

What I think your seeing and most power confrence schools will hate is the rise of quality basktaball from mid majors. Any given night mid majors can play and beat any so called power confrence team. Look at vcu last year. Butler 2 year run. 15 seeds this year winning. Power teams hate it but mid majors are legit and are going to start seeing imo more mid majors who don't get an auto bid will be getting a bid over power teams with a questionable record who always got in before.
