He did tweet this last night:

I wrote last year SDSU wouldn't get here with Nagy as coach. I'm genuinely pleased he and staff addressed shortcomings and proved me wrong.

I have been suprised how complimentary he has been of Nagy and the men's team this tournament. And when he admitted he was wrong I was like wow. Guess making it to the NCAA tournament changes your perspective. Have to keep doing this year after year tho.

Name a bigger day in South Dakota sports history. Making the big dance in basketball leads to more exposure than you can shake a stick at. We had two teams do it TODAY!

GREAT DAY TO BE A JACKRABBIT!
Maybe, just maybe, Billy Mills winning the 10,000 meter run at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics?
When you put on that jersey, the name on the front is more important than the name on the back.

That's a 1/2 world away, and before great coverage. A decent option tho!

And we do it on the night that ESPN is covering "this year's" story of the year - in Peyton Manning divorce from the Colts!

We will have to tread water for a few days until the selection show and preparation for our first round match-up. As I said last night - this team no longer has a monkey on their back and the pressure of winning the conference title. They can let it ride, and fly around without any pressure, like they did earlier this year when they flew into Seattle. Go Jacks!!!

Re: Biggest day in South Dakota sports history?

By far the biggest day in SD sports history. Not only did the men's and women's teams make the big dance in dramatic fashion, but it happened within our borders.

There have been some great individual performers to come out of the state, but they don't come close to what these two victories do for exposure.

This is just awesome! Great day to be a Jackrabbit! SDSU probably won't get quite as much regional coverage though considering the NDSU game was played in Minneapolis. It's still going to be great though! Nagy and staff have to take care of recruiting now!

Same here. All that alcohol combined with being so amped I was up till 4 as well and I had to go to Minnesota this morning for a TWolves game tonight. It's been a great few days.

Tell me about it. I was amped, then about 3 am my 7 month old son woke up amped up too...for different reasons. Only had to get up at 8 to sign a million papers on our house refinance and then wait till 11 to go to work....Such is life though.

Unless, of course, you have a pep-band that decides to play at the most inopportune times and thereby ending any "Let's go Rabbits" chants that are developing. I counted two times last night that the pep band single-handidly killed the crowd's intensity.

Don't get me wrong, I love our pep band, but sometimes they just neeed to put the instruments down and let the crowd do their thing.

Don't blame the band... blame the tournament officials. They're the ones that cue the band when to play and when to stop.
