  • Biggest day in South Dakota sports history?

Sure, commentators are prone to hyperbole, but can anything top this? Two overtime wins, two automatic bids? Is this the best day in South Dakota sports history?

It is a great day to be a Jackrabbit!

Well, when's the last time a South Dakota school's teams made the NCAA Division I men's and women's basketball tournament on the same day?

        I thought so.

I believe it is. When we started the transition from D2, the big SDSU Bandwagon lost bunch of riders, but this fixes that. Everyone is back on board and a few brought their friends and neighbors.

A great day to be a South Dakotan or even an ex- South Dakotan.

Even from the Big Easy, that was gutsy tough challenging wins for the Jacks. Good to show that they can win close games, and pull out W's when down in the second half.

Great day showcasing our talented teams, Sioux Falls, and all of South Dakota sports.

Started being a fan of Jacks hoops in 06-07 when I transferred schools there. Great day to be a Jackrabbit.

Jackrabbits just being polite. When you go dancing, bring a partner.

What a day. Those 2 games wiped me out! I'd say it would be hard to beat this day in SD sports history.

Did anyone else hear Coach Nagy on ESPN Radio tonight (11:45 PM on Freddie C. Show)? Good stuff. This was a big day.

Heard him on the way back to Wtn. He seemed like he didn't know what to say. Blue Jacket he better wear in the tournament. So glad for him and the rest of the team. They have been through a lot in the transition.

Not sure if it's the biggest but it puts the Men's program in the limelight along with what the Women have been doing the past 4 years. When SDSU went D1 was a huge step in the right direction IMO and glad to see that SDSU stuck with Coach Nagy. There were many that wanted a change in the head coach position, many that said you couldn't get it done with local talent, many that felt that SDSU going D1 was a mistake. Just a simple question....anyone care to change anything tonight?
