    Is a 20-win season important? Heck yes. Does it help the future of the program? Yes it does. Does it gurantee you get to the dance? No. But saying a 20 win season is irrelevant unless you get to the big dance is asinine.

        Yes, NDSU has done a ton since going D-I in basketball, however the argument is they did 98% of it in 1 year. Since then, the Bison have finished in the second 4, twice. Since then they haven't had a ton of big wins, since then they haven't gotten the big following, since then they still play in a dump, etc.

        The argument I have, is yes you can have that 1 year every 8-10-12-15 years and put the banner up and say look at that year, or you can build something, maybe only make the tournament every 3-4-5 years but the 2-3-4 in between you are a legit contender, a top 3 team.

        I'm not attacking the Bison for anything they have done, because they have done a ton, but at the same point them beating a top 25 team and winning the tournament, and competing with Kansas didn't do a ton with the overall stance of the program. I guess I just look at it and I'd rather have a competitive team every year that may not make the tournament every year then a team that struggles 5 out of 6 years but the 6th year is really good and makes the tournament, and then loses first round.

Nobody has answered that except throw stones at me. Yes fine you won 20 games congrats in 2007-2008 we had 21 wins with a win on the road against #9 Marquette what did that get us??? NOTHING, in 200-2009 we had 20+ wins and won the SL went to the dance and got beat int he first round that to really got us nothing but the fun of getting there and luckily enough we drew Minneapolis so 15k fans got to watch and it was on CBS, we got more attention for making the tourny our first year eligible than anything else

          some of you need a thicker skin geesh........

                He sleeps with both of course, you can not be supportive of John Deere without the green and gold.
