89 Rabbit, Most of my comments are totally on topic especially since my beloved Roos now have what you so desperately covet - a league. What a coincidence - it is exactly the league you want
But I must admit your post is quite funny. Not as good as Mike Nelke but nonetheless one of your funniest posts to date.
Thanks for putting me in touch with their fan board. I have never been on it before. Maybe I will spend less time on sdsu's now that I have this. Just kidding!!
I have been to probably 30 umkc games in my life and I think I have never been to one as crowded as that photo. That must have come in year one of their d1 move when people were excited. That is long gone.

Why a Kangaroo?
In 1936, the editors of the student newspaper at UMKC (then University of Kansas City) proposed a Kangaroo mascot for the debate team. They might have been inspired by the Kansas City Zoo's acquisition of two young kangaroos.

Former Kansas City resident Walt Disney helped popularize the idea by drawing a kangaroo (above) for a campus magazine. The drawing has a slight resemblance to Mickey Mouse.

He is new for this season.  Up to now their logo looked very much like the Kangaroo on the old shoes called Roos.  Not so good.

Jack Fans, You might actually win this game. We are 0-5 this year and not very good so you MIGHT beat us. But then you probably won't. Watched UMKC twice on tv.
89Rabbit- When you are at the game find a couple of big UMKC supporters (there are a few of them) that are wearing their UMKC gear and ask them what they think about SDSU in their league. MOst won't say anything bad about SDSU but rather they will give you a puzzled look and say something to the effect "why would you want to join this rinky dink league?"
Beat Colorado!!! Go Roos!! Roos will always be 2nd place in my heart behind my beloved Mavs. SOrry - off topic. Have to keep the thread's integrity.

I'll be listening via the net. If we play well this will be a competative DI road game. I'm expecting a win but there is no way to predict what SDSU team will show-up. Hard to play intense in front of 500 people.

How many times during the Nagy era have we been killed by teams shooting 3's? It's getting old.
