Wolters is obviously going to get a lot of focus and credit, but how about Callahan making those high-pressure free throws down the stretch. He came through big when things were really tightening up. Then there's Dykstra who hit a number of big shots at critical moments. Those guys definitely picked the team up when they needed it. That was one hell of a game. Imagine the atmosphere if these 2 teams meet again on March Monday night at Sioux Falls....

Good point on Dyk and Griff. Two great players.

I agree it was blatant...I used the word sly because it means "clever or cunning, especially in the practice of deceit". Sly doesn't mean subtle. I thought the statement was a compliment to Wolters but the poster (for those who haven't read the entire thread, the post Rowdy and I are discussing was made by a Bison) also wanted it known he didn't think much of the rest of the team. That poster seemed to conveniently ignore what the rest of the team was doing in the first half when NDSU focused on Nate and kept him at 4 pts in that stanza.

I was at the game last night. My first trip to Fargo and to the Bison Sports Arean. I couldn't have picked a better game to go to. I had a feeling we were going to OT. The Bison Sports Arena is kind of a dump though. It's very dark in there and no where close to as nice as Frost.

            A dump is an understatement!

Gotcha...I was thinking of sly as "In a way intended to escape notice".

Even though this was a great win for the team and it got a monkey off their back, they have another tough game in 4 days that the Jacks will need to win. The Jacks havent won in Oakland I believe so that is a very important game just as the win at NDSU was. On to the next one

I think it was built about 1970 about 3 years before Frost. There is room in there for indoor track that is not available at Frost. I would agree the lighting is bad.

Never been there before but from the games I've watched it looks like a warehouse with bleachers and a floor. The wood bleachers, the "empty" spaces in the corners, etc.

Keep in mind the BSA opened in about 1970 and is scheduled for a major overhaul to convert it from a multi-purpose facility to one better suited for basketball. A new indoor track will be in a facility to be constructed. When BSA opened, it was one of the nicer indoor track facilities in the middle part of the USA -- it's a 220-yard track (tracks today are built in meters).

JackJD would know more about the indoor track facility as I would think he competed there back in the early days of BSA. Until I had made my first visit to BSA, I had noticed that the late Norm Hilson, Voice of the Jacks, used to complain about how far the press box was from the floor and its a long way from there. In fact its way up on the home seating, and very dark for the broadcasters. After the Norm era, I believe NDSU moved the broadcast guys down on the floor which was a good move. I am anxious to see the enhenced BSA. The lighting at BSA is still horrible.

It was built in a time when bucks were just starting to come into the Teammakers. In 1970 NDSU had maybe 5 or 6 good football seasons where they filled Dactah field for each home game. The building does include more steel than brick. Seem like its on the order of a Morton building, but this will be fixed with the update.

*coughlin* *coughlin* Sorry was clearing my throat. Anyways, people in glass houses and all that. But, NDSU fans should really never take digs at us about CAS, when they clearly play in a crappier(and would be far cheaper to improve) basketball facility. Both schools need improvements in some areas.

Anybody watch Jackrabbit Insider and see Nate's play? I ended up going to bed early because of class this morning (a disgusting sentence to type). Has anyone put the play on YouTube yet?
