    Re: Sdsu @ ndsu

I am actually excited for this game. If we can go to Fargo and beat them at their own place than we will truly know how much different this team is than other teams in the past.

I will be very surprised if the Bison win. We used up all our mojo during the football season I fear.

Nahhh, there still some left. There will be so many Jack fans at the game that it will be ridiculous, like maybe 5 or 6 and up to 12 if the weather warms up.

I said that twice about the Bison basketball team last year. The Jacks were clearly a better team but didn't get it done against the Bison. Not smack there, just giving props to the Bison for getting it done.

I and the family are making the trek to Fargo, so there is 4.

SDSU is a better over all team, and for once a little older of a team, which I hope that means having a young NDSU team that they are due to have a bad game against us eventually. Its hard to figure out one game they score 85, and the next 55. They score very high percent, and defend well, Frankly I will use the old cliche, that if we can out score them and put more points on the board we win.............Honestly I think it comes down to rebounds. If we win that stat or keep in very close, we win. If they out rebound by 5 or more we probably lose again. They are too good at getting second chances to not make us pay. I honestly think we will need hemstras height to get rebounds. maybe see him in their for a few minutes at a time with the specific directions to get on the block and battle for every rebound, use that height advantage hopefully otherwise they are rather tall and atheltic down low.

You are right on the rebounding - the Jacks need to cut down the second chance points by the Bison. If I remember correctly ,Wright had his two biggest games of his freshman year,by far, against the Jacks.

Yeah, he turned our two games, especailly up in Fargo, last year into a dunk clinic. I would rather not see that again!

Bison are young and talented and inconsistent, these things go together. Jacks are more experienced and at least as talented. Playing in Fargo is certainly an advantage for NDSU and I think the Jacks have a bit of a mental block as it pertains to this game. I believe if Dykstra and Fiegen play up to their potential the Jacks will win with relative ease. If not, its going to be as difficult as any game so far this year.

TrayVonn is a kid the Jacks need to be physical with and keep a body on him when the ball is in the air. He is skinny, but extremely athletic vertically, so if he is allowed to float around the rim unabated it's a recipe for disaster.

I think that, with ORU leaving, the SDSU-NDSU game is going to decide many conference championships in the coming years.

With ORU losing Morrison and 2 other starters, that would probably be the case even if ORU would have stayed.

Yah, ORU sucks at recruiting...I'll bet the cupboard is bare after this year...geez

Well, I don't think he implied that they were bad at recruiting? Losing that much will knock you down a peg no matter how well you recruit.

Oakland doesn't exactly suck at recruiting either, but where are they at this season after losing Benson and Hudson ?
