I gotta be honest, I don't see how.
41 states are blue (Canaan), 3 are purple (Wolters), 3 are gray (3 way tie), 1 is yellow (Ware), and 2 are red (Lillard). Internationally 60% of votes are Canaan.
Canaan has a considerably higher percentage than anyone in all of his states...yet Wolters is up. Not that I'm complaining, but based on what I'm seeing, it doesn't seem right.
And about the troll....I don't understand why people are feeding him.
This is not directed at you, Rowdy, but I promised my high school stat teacher I'd fight back every time I saw this creep into calculations. Nate was up 7 at the time, right? Assuming it was 41-34 or something close to that>? If so, he was up 7 percentage points but actually up by 17 percent
(41-34=7/41) ..
There, I did my duty. On with the discussion.

Re: Naters Gonna Nate
To test the system a little, I voted 5 times in a row (friends from Chicago taught me) and the state count when the cursor was placed on SD, remained at something like 16. Heck, I've voted 16 times myself over the past few days.

Percentage points, that's what I was referring to, correct.

Re: Naters Gonna Nate
Bob Valvano, one of the ESPN guys covering our game tomorrow, was featured on Terry V's podcast today. In getting into the Nate Wolters topic they related Nate to Jermey Lin - Bob said (and I'm paraphrasing) "Jeremy Lin refined his skills for 4 years and is now having great success in the NBA. Lin wasn't drafted - Nate's going to be be drafted." He said it very matter-of-factly - like there was no doubt about it.
Check it out - Terry's response ("Wow") was funny.

The piece I'm talking about is just short of the halfway point. Bob's offers up both the Lin comparison and he thinking Nate will get drafted. Pretty impressive I thought.
The entire interview is worth taking the time to listen to. Bob offers up some great insight on what this means for SDSU and Jackrabbit basketball.

maybe if nate and lin were doing things incorrectly, and looking horrible while doing it, for 3 quarters...then having luck place victory into his hands again. (and yes, he does make a few place, I'm not a hater) Makes no sense to me.
