    Re: Naters Gonna Nate

Guys - keep the focus on the great Naters gonna Nate. This position is one where Nate has a SUPER SHOT at being a part-time starter, or a significant minutes off bench (6th to 8th) player HIS ROOKIE YEAR. Nate, like Colton Iverson, will bring a mature, analytical, smart game to the Bucks. Does he have the "Upside growth" potential, like his fellow Bucks draftee?, Unlikely. But, I would contend he doesn't need to, because he's at a good, if not great level already. If, through his play in summer league, then during the season, he directly addresses the questions about his ability to defend, and he becomes that great distributing guard in the NBA that he demonstrated at SDSU, we will be talking about Nate in the mode of another John Stockton, especially if he can demonstrate the durability over a long career.

I'm excited about having a SDSU player in NBA. The situation at the Bucks is danged close to being an ideal situation for Nate. I expect that he'll succeed and become the new symbol of modest and easy going, in contrast to the flamboyancy that marks too many of the "stars" or "wanna be stars".

I am happy for Nate, so don't get me wrong, but the guy does deserve some dignity. All the USD fans are poo-pooing the Milwaukee Bucks as a franchise and some how Nate career will be short lived. If his health holds up and no injuries I can see Nate playing 10 years from now and a very wealthy man. He should top Tom Black's salary of $30,000, which went a long ways in the 1970s.
    Really Nidaros? Really?

Nate is about to sign an NBA contract that will pay him more than many dream about making and you are comparing it to 1850's slavery?

Wow, that was fun to read. I hope it plays out this way. I really believe that Wolters given playing time will find his way in the league. It sounds like he landed in just the type of situation that could allow him a fair shot at showing he can play.

I've got a buddy who grew up in Osh Kosh and is a huge Bucks fan.

He's been asking me about Wolters, I think I've got him super excited. I had to tell him that I'm a giant homer of course.

Just came across this from bleacher report with a thorough break down of Nate's abilities. We are fairly familiar with these, but still interesting to read such an analysis.

That probably puts Nate coming off the bench, assuming he performs well in summer leagues and camp. I saw Milwaukee is touting him as their next "combo" guard.......does that mean they have plans for him to step in and play SG?
Read an article written yesterday that said Milwaukee will listen to any trade offers for Jennings. Of course that could change with how the draft fell.

Just wanted to say it isn't a lock Jennings will be in Milwaukee next year. He probably will, but it's not set in stone.

I can't imagine a better place for Nate to end up. Milwaukee, is midwest, not too big, openings in the backcourt, easy for family to travel to watch him play. One has to believe the Bucks really liked him and he should see decent playing time this year. It is going to be a difficult season for the Bucks as I see it now but he can grow into his role there.
