Would it be high enough to get us to a 13 or 14 instead of a 15 or 16 seed provided we win tonight and the rest of our home game filled schedule.

Every bracketology report I've seen has had the SL champ whether its SDSU or ORU as a 13 seed, I think I even saw 1 that had them as a 12 seed.

      Re: RPI

Looking at rpiforecast.com and the Summit could get a pretty good seed if SDSU or ORU won out. It projects ORU with a 19.7 RPI (29-5) and SDSU with 21.7 (26-6). If both teams won out to the Conference Tournament final, the loser would end up with an RPI of around 30. Of course there is a ton of basketball left and one slip up to a 200+ RPI team by either school would drastically alter these projections, but this quite a year for the league. The Summit will be well represented in the tournament by either ORU or SDSU.

Man a type of PRI like that would really help the seeding and maybe give the jacks a favorable matchup in the first round

I see our opponent in the bracket busters (Buffalo is #81 as they fell to Western Michigan last weekend. If you recall the Jacks beat Western Mich earlier in the year in Frost.

Wow, that makes those UND and USD losses even worse. That was horrible. Hope the team is ready next year because they are really going to be getting everyones best games.

yeah you win those two, plus the Oakland game, and add in either the other ORU game, or Minnesota, Nebraska, or Georgia and the RPI could have been something real special

Do you have any information or is that a generalization?

Edit: Nevermind, I saw the post in the other thread.

You know how the SDSU men’s basketball team wound up 50th in the final NCAA Division I RPI? Turns out that’s the best finish by a Summit League team since at least 1994-95 – the conference doesn’t have records from before that.
Others of note: Oral Roberts was 55th in 2007-08, Oakland was 57th in 2010-11 and Valparaiso was No. 70 in 1998, when it reached the Sweet 16.
