Maybe one day we can be like Murray State or Creighton and be ranked in the National Top 25 poll. One can only hope.
I was only stating my opinion about the poll. Others may hold it in higher esteem and I'm fine with that. Most of the voters haven't seen SDSU play a second of basketball and our basing it on the results of comparable games and the reputation of opponents. The RPI is much more important as it pertains to reputation and seeding. If the Summit League can continue to maintain a RPI near the top 10 it will definitely improve the chances of avoiding a play-in game or a 16 seed in the NCAA tourney. Is it possible that the SL could be a 2 bid conference? Probably not this year or next but maybe 3-5 years down the road if the upper level teams can demonstrate and maintain a level of play comparable to this year.

So, keep the energy and focus on winning games on the court while watching the RPI, let the pollsters have fun without getting too caught up in it.

Still on the outside looking in. SDSU is still at the #26 spot with a few teams leaping over us and a few dropping below us.

At this point are we the #2 or #3 team in the Summit? Awaiting the results of Sat. game with the Bison to get it pinned down.

ORU, at this point is the top of the Summit.

We will know a lot more on how the top three teams sort out after Feb 4th when ORU completes the road trip to Brookings and Fargo. Until then, everything is just guesswork.

Off the court I really like Kampe. Always gives credit to the Jacks and wants to see another team in the Summit League succeed and gives props where props are due. Much respect to him. Also liked the fact he owned to it and said yep I did that.
