The Bleacher report article was written by an SDSU student so it is not hard to get love from our own. Not to take anything away from the article, just saying.

I take all these poll results with a grain of salt. If you recall a certain program was ranked in the top 25 of the FCS polls all year. Great wins for the Jackrabbits the last 3 games, as well as the first 2 conference games on the road. Winning at ORU is another level.

They can do it! ORU is very talented and this isn't the Jacks team that will roll over and lose on the road anymore. They got their first win in the Jungle this year, time for SDSU to get one at ORU!!

This team sure finishes better then any team since being D-2. except for that UND game, we have played really well on the road. Even the loses to power confrence teams, we were very competive, and frankly I am still disapointed we didnt either win georgia or the goofers game.

Yeah that UND game was tough to follow. I wish we would have had better schedule placement of those games. Not including injuries that have happened *cough* Mbakwe *cough*, I think a little momentum could have pushed Jacks to a win (IE: Washington). All in all they can't change the past. Gotta keep up their competition and keep fighting in games. I'm loving the way they're playing, and it's great to see some recognition for it! Reminds me of 4 years ago and the women's national ranking in a way.

The Jacks definitely caught a tough break in drawing the Gophers before Mbakwe's injury, but also caught a break in playing Washington while N'diaye was out.

I'm with you on this one. Winning at ORU means far more then any poll. And after seeing both UXD's ranked most of the year in FB with very few actual D1 wins I have lost complete faith in polls all together.

Ok, we all know that polls don't mean much in sports where you actually have a playoff system at the end of the season. Got it. But they are fun to look at, and it is nice to be recognized IMHO. By the way all of you who keep bringing up the FCS football poll. Please show me the UXD equivalent on the list of top 25 Mid-Majors. That group of teams looks pretty salty to me and the poll gets better the longer the season goes. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'

Personally IMHO basketball polls are created more for the fans and the exposure that they create for announcers and reporters and I don't think Nagy has the team too focused on it but it sure is darn cool to see SDSU being ranked nationally in the mid-major poll. Maybe one day we can be like Murray State or Creighton and be ranked in the National Top 25 poll. One can only hope.
