All it takes is to think you can just step out on the court and win without putting forth the necessary effort,and see how fast you disappear .....just say'n,....don't get too caught up in all the hype,win the games and the rankings will come....sermon over

Great for the Jacks! I'm worried the Summit is slipping...Oakland out of the top 25 but still getting some votes...no other Summit team getting any attention.

I'm not impressed by that poll. Arguably Oakland should still be in the poll and ORU should unquestionably be in the poll. That ORU has apparently been snubbed from week one makes this poll look like the BB equivalent of that FCS poll that had UND in the top 25.

I agree with you about the poll being similar to the FCS poll. Maybe the top 10 is for real. But its still fun to see the Jacks in it. Not everyone knows its a sham.

why in the world should Oakland be in the poll? They got hammered by Western Michigan at home 76-91 last week. Oakland is 8-6 on the year, you put the two together and you drop out of the poll. ORU has more reason to be upset. I think this poll is legit. Is it perfect? No, but it seems pretty good to me and I would rather be in it then not included. The coaches that vote on it seem pretty legit to me.

By that logic why is State in the poll? We got hammered by (an awful) UND squad before a victory over a so-so UDub team. Oakland beat Tennessee. Seems there would be even footing there. Only thing is we beat Western Michigan and our record is a little better. I'm glad Oakland will be able to take their frustrations out on NDSU before coming down to us.
The good news is we are going to get some answers to our questions in a matter of days! I'm curious to see if this team gets a little swagger going against IPFW. An expectation not of winning, but of playing well and knowing you are going to play well. I also like that Nagy will have a nice blue print to stop them. From what I can see WMU let Reggie do what he's going to do, contained Bader then stopped Valentine and the OU bench. Can't imagine they won't try the same thing on us.....

First let's beat IPFW, I hear Filbert as a family member on the team or something. Forum explodes in 3...2....1......

Oh, and I don't buy that Oaklands win at home over Tennessee is as big as our win over Washington on the road. Washington has made the last two NCAAs.

Yeah I was wearing a sdsu shirt and I talked to a few of the coaches. They weren't really impressed with the 5 hour delay since the Dakota trip is hard hard enough without travel difficulties.

Last time I had a delay in flying it was due to weather in Indianapolis, not South Dakota. We've had tremendous flying weather here for quite and while and it looks like it will continue to be sunny and dry for at least another week.
