I think that poll was before our 3 wins.

Were still not getting much love in the polls.

      #1 Creighton 772 points
      #18 Oakland 250 points

      Out of rankings:

      #29 NDSU 26 points
      #42 Oral Roberts 4 points
Tied at #44 SDSU 3 points

Greg Kampe, Oakland Coach, is the only conference member with a vote.

I am more interested where we will sit in these rankings in late February. Regardless, after reading about the questionable way many BCS football coaches voted in the last poll to benefit their conferences bowl game positioning,I have much less confidence in these rankings.

Poll is meaningless....we just need to play well get the highest seed possible and win our tournament.......No matter what we do we still would probably be no higher than a 15 seed in the big tourney. Unless they have a mid-major tournament coming out...

Do you think that SDSU and ORU move up today? I see that UC Santa Barbara who lost to Washington on Friday 87-80 was ranked #14 last week.

I think we shoud, but basketball voters are kind of hard to convince sometimes based on a one game performance, they like to see a team keep winning before they commit their vote.(it's the one game theory, where they figure it's a one game situation where a team plays above what they'd normally play)

It's meaningless when you're not in it,but gives you good name recognition and exposure if you can get near the top and stay there awhile. The Jacks women got a lot of mileage during their great season by being near the top of this ranking.

IIRC, the CBI MidMajor top 25 didn't cover women's ball in '08-'09.

This group might not have, but Graham Hays did on ESPN.com - he had the Jacks as high as #2 in his womens mid-major poll in the winter of '09.

Correct. CBI started women's mid-major in 2010-2011 season.

                            Agree with this completely.

Without getting ahead of ourselves, getting into the tourney is the key - seed is irrelevant. There isn't a team in the field that would want to face the Jacks that did what we did to UW, but they would treat us like most 15/16 seeds if we were to play like we did against UND at GF.
