  • IPFW Round 3

As I said on another thread, if Fife can get his guys to play like he did and IU I think the Jacks are in for a fight. I'd tell my guys to bang, push, grab and shove early and often even if it means a few fouls. Slow the game down and try to intimidate the Jacks.

If we don't shoot well and they play physically the pressure is on our defense and we know where that has gotten us this year. I'm looking forward to a great game and hope for to see the Jacks playing Monday night as well.

They beat us as the 5 seed last year, this year we can return the favor. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I'm sick of seeing the Wolters/Sargent thread as the first one on the board so I'm posting something here.

Beat IPFW. How do the Jacks go from losing to them in the tournament last year and then beating them silly twice this year? I don't know, I don't care, just beat them.

Jacks get out, and jump all over them at beginning, the bench players will see some good time. Come out cold, and this will be a battle. Jacks need to win a close game, and haven't done so yet. Hope they pound the 'Dons, and get the close game w/ Oakland.

A.) Callahan was hurt & Cordova was in street clothes.
          B.) They had Delvez Yearby
C.) SDSU is much improved in nearly every way (including team chemistry).

Yep, the team just look worn out. It was a long year and they tried hard but I feel this team is going to be more of the SDSU team that beat ORU 2 years ago when we were the lowly 7th seed.

I'd go with this. I remember them being in that game even though they couldn't make a shot, but just looking gassed. It just looked like the tank was empty.

Didn't Mixon hurt the Jacks bad in that game? I thought I remember Yearby sitting a lot and not being a big factor. That might have been against Oakland in Rd. 2.

The Jacks can't let Botts get hot this year. That's going to be the biggest thing that could hurt and is something that tends to happen against them. A good outside shooter gets hot and doesn't quit.

Clint not going 1 for 200 would help too. He was horrible in the IPFW 1st round game last year. We struggle when we shoot the ball poorly. If someone is cold stop shooting and find someone who can knock a shot down.

This game is on ESPN3 right? I can't find it on their website right now? Is it blacked out?
