Another team coming in here shooting lights out. over 70%. Imagine if we could even keep teams at say 50% we would have a much better chance at winning these games.

Darn that Benson, they would be a fraction of the team with out him, it seems effortless for him. Baskets, rebounds, blocks, FTs.

doesn't take them long to score, we are down 10. I dont see us keeping them under 90 points and I cant see us out scoring them. They are 47% on 3. we are only 30%. that half went by fast. hope they figure out that D thing for the second have to keep this from being a blow out.

Great effort by Tony from the sounds of it. Maybe we get agressive and get benson to foul out or something. Him inside Hudson cleaning up the boards and their outside shooting is a lot to contend with. We don't have many answers.

Fiegen and Djkstra are giving Benson a problem on defense with their shooting range. Unfortunately, on the offensive end, nobody's giving Oakland any particular problems at all. Jacks are losing this game at the defensive end of the court . . . Oakland's giving them enough offensive opportunitites to be in the game, but Jacks just can't stop the Grizzlies.

                54-44 at the half.

Wolters looks like he's forcing things a bit--but then, he's getting lots and lots of attention from Oakland's guards, who are pretty good, too.

They have created a lot of mismatches. We are trying to match their layups with jumpshots......not a good proposition. I think we need to start sagging in on a zone and see if they continue their 3 pt shooting.....if they do then so be it.

They probably will. They're a pretty good long-range shooting team, too. I think they're winning it around the perimeter, actually, not inside. We're not able to deny them the entry pass, especially to Hudson cutting to the basket. I'd try playing the perimeter tighter and try to deny passing lanes around the arc and entry passes to Benson and Hudson. Problem is that our guards may not all be quick enough to pull that off.

I agree but it seemed like whenever we contested them on the outside, they were finding the easy pass inside for a layup.

I agree the 3 is the difference at this point, but benson has 16 first half points, did not sound like he had to work hard to get those either.

                          Well. They're a pretty good team, after all. There's a reason they beat Tennessee . . .

So what your saying is we are damned if we try to stop the outside shot, but we are damned if we try to stop the inside shot.

I guess if what you're doing isn't working, your options are 1) to do it better, or to 2) try to do something different.

Safe to say Jacks' defense is not working . . .

And we start the half the same way we finished, missed basket and they get an easy 3. I vote for us going back to the hanging baskets. The floor standing ones are not helping us.
