Up 9 at half and lose by 5, my Jackrabbit math tells me we didn't put up much of a fight in the second half. Still looking for this team to take the next step on the road. Honestly, we don't have much of a choice after dropping 2 conference home games already.
Damn. Just gave away a winnable game. We were up by 14 points at one point.
I've noticed in the Summit League it's a pretty common occurrence for one team to get up by double-digits in the first half and lose that lead entirely--it isn't just SDSU that does that. It's almost everybody.
Moral: you have to play hard for forty minutes. Easier said than done.
The Summit is down to the 22nd ranked conference. We started the season in 15th and have slowly fell down the ranking totem pole. I don't think we go any further.
This is inevitable when the Big Tens, PAC 10s, others start playing one another.. These rankings are partly based on quality of opponent.
elsewehere, it looks like UMKC might surprise ORU at home... Centenary is losing its last, best hope for a home win (maybe) and the Bizon are having problems with the WIU team we kerblastificated.
why has Moss not been in on the defensive end on Young?
I agree. Nagy sounds like a broken record. Same old comments in the post game interview when we lose about how the guys don't play defense and can't get stops when needed. This is from a coach that has White and Carlson in at the end of the game. He continues to put offensive line-ups on the court when we need to play defense. Is Dale offensive minded, of course not. But there is plenty of offense on the court with Nate, Clint and Griff or Chad that offsets Dale's lack of offense. Dale's defense once again was needed but there he sat. He should have been in the game. If Nagy is going to continue to complain about our lack of defense, talking about how important it is, he needs to start coaching like it is important.

Its a collective effort on D. Dale would have to be playing head and shoulders better D to be in IMO. Honestly a little bit better blocking out on rebounds and we don't give up a few easy put backs is the difference in the game. To me Dales rebounding is no more impressive then the rest of the team.
