Re: Nate Wolters is the best gaurd in The Summit

Wolters is the best guard in the Summit.

Benson is the best 4/5 in the Summit.

I don't get where the anger is coming from. Must be tough looking to play the "we don't get any respect" card when everyone respects the Grizzlies...

ok. get mad at me if you want. Nate is good, very good and someday will probabilly be the best guard in the league. I don't think he is now mostly because he can't guard anyone. He is slow and stays way away from his man so he doesn't get beat off the dribble. Defense is a big part of the game and his man gets open threes all day. Buy the way, I;m no expert but I would guess the NBA guys want you to be able to guard someone, and in that league he will have to guard some great athletes.

Just wondering, but have you seen him play in person?

I guess we disagree with his defensive abilities then. He has great instincts and plays very good help defense.

There's a reason other coaches in the league call him the best point guard in the league.

A point guards job 1 is to win.(see Jon Jones. Ben Woodside) 4-4 with three home losses, sorry

Haha. You're going to use that argument. "Argument."

I...I...I just don't know what to say to that.

Isn't it everyone's job to win? He can't do ****ing everything. He is the best player on his team almost every time he plays. Did you watch the NDSU game? If you want to put any loss on Nate you're ****ing nuts. End of story.

NDSU lost 8 games when Woodside was a sophomore, against a schedule that wasn't comparable to the conference grind of the Summit. His junior year the Bison were 16-13, and barely above .500 in the Summit.

Oakland was 17-14 during JJ's sophomore year, including 7 losses within the Summit.

And why are you bringing up JJ and Woodside, the title of the thread is "Wolters is the best guard in the Summit". JJ and Woodside were great players (especially as SENIORS), but they don't play in the Summit anymore.

Have you watched an NBA game lately? I don't think they know what defense is, minus the Spurs.

Uh oh, Benson might be in trouble then, if the NBA wants guys who can guard people.

Fiegen and Dykstra had probably a dozen wide open shots when Benson didn't come out to guard them.

Benson will go in the first round and if you can't see that then your glasses are really blue and yellow. As far as jj and woodside you are right, and they were not the best player or best guard in the league when they were sophmores which is spot on to my point.

Except Wolters is the best GUARD in the league. Ask just about anyone, including coaches, and you will hear the same thing. You might be the only one that doesn't agree to it

Here's a 'way too premature' question for all you Jacks fans....Does Nate have a realistic shot at becoming SDSU's all time leading scorer?

so if you were going to start a team with only the players on the floor tonight your would take Nate over reggie Hamilton. I would not and maybe Scott Sutton would but Kampe wouldn't. An athlete that can defend and score any day.....................Sutton also thinks Hunter McClintock can play, Sargent is the only Jack player that would start for Oakland and only because he is a senior and Bader is a freshman. Larry Wright was all league last year and pre-season this year and he can't start for us.

You've made your point Grizz...let it go. You're on an SDSU fan board...of course we're gonna support our guy, especially when he is the best PG in the Summit.
