This NBA talk is pretty premature. But for the sake of discussion:

Woodside (SR) - 23.2ppg, 6.2apg, 3.2rpg, 1.4spg

Wolters (SO) - 19.4ppg, 6apg, 4.2rpg, 1.4spg

Woodside was 5"11, Wolters is 6'3". That's a pretty big advantage when it comes to making an NBA roster.

IMO, the question is whether or not Nate has reached his potential. He is a sophomore, so I would think not. If Wolters keeps improving and playing well for the next 2.5 years, I don't see why he couldn't have a better chance at the NBA.

There were 2 or 3 teams in the country who thought Wolters was good enough to play DI out of high school. Today, there are at least 2 Big 10 teams that would like to have him on their roster. Who knows where he will be at in another 3 years.

Couple things to remember:

We have the 313th hardest schedule so far.

We play in the 22nd ranked conference.

We have played:

SW State (D2)
Idaho St (290)
Eastern Illinois (278)
Mayville St (NAIA)
Central Michigan (251)
UMKC (282)
Southern Utah (284)
Centenary (345)
Western Illinois (301)

You can argue that SDSU's record is inflated, but if you try to argue against the brilliance of Nate Wolters you are going to make yourself look more stupid than you normally look on here. Which is an impressive feat, I must admit.

I was the first person to respond to the question of whether Wolters was good enough for the NBA:

He's probably not quick enough to play the 1 in the league. And the release point on his shot is a little low.

Well ESPN.com has him number 17 in all of Division 1 in their Brilliance rankings so I'd feel safe in putting him in the top 20.

I just don't understand you need to try discredit the incredible season that he is having and how good of a player he is. If you don't agree that he will play in the NBA, then I, and a lot of people on here would agree with you. But what is the point of "reminding" people about the strength of schedule. You have done it numerous times in plenty of other threads. We could be playing Junior High teams and it would not do anything to take away from how ****ing good he is at basketball.

I was being sarcastic. I'm fairly certain that ESPN doesn't keep a "Brilliance" ranking or statistic.

I predict 11-7 before the tourney and they at least get out of the first round in the Summit tourney.
