Speculation about 13 and 14 year old children hasn't been prevalent on this forum and it seems unlikely that the moderators would allow it to get out-of-hand so I retract the "grumpiness" but stick to the substance of my initial reply.
I agree that the sites that have national rankings of 6th graders may go too far. However, this young man is 7'1" tall, weighs 225 lbs , has received a scholarship offer and is making college visits. I doubt we are risking his safety by discussing him on our board.

In all reality, if he has already received an offer from UNI and is visiting Wisconsin this early in the game, we aren't realistically going to get him. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try, but I'd probably put our chances at about 3% even with family ties.

If he goes FBS whatever. As long as he doesn't go to UNI or USD over SDSU. Don't want to play against him.

I have heard that before some of their games, they actually had to weave their own peach basket. Is that correct J#1.

Boy, you and NoVaJack really know how to hurt a guy! It is true we wore tight shorts, but as for the rest...I'm not that old! Of course, my vaulting pole in high school was made of aluminum!

Didn't they wear knickers and bow ties and sweater vests over long sleeve shirts?

I am Carson's father. I am curious to hear from the gentleman who mentioned that he went to high school with my dad - Bill Shanks. What is the protocol here? I am willing to give my email address but am wondering if their is a back-channel way of doing this. Bill (my dad) died when I was real young. I would love to be able to correspond with someone who knew him when he was a kid. Thanks.

It's best to use the "private message" feature in the board's software. Go to the post that caught your attention and click on the poster's name. A drop down box will appear and one of the selection is "private message".

You can see if you received a private message by 1) logging on; and 2) looking under your name near the upper right corner of your screen...you'll see "Private Message" and it will show if you have one. I'll send you one to test it.

J#1 - you guys didn't shoot underhanded free throws in those tight shorts, I hope.
