    Re: Dykstra/Bjorklund/Gruis Watch

From a Bison fans point of view, I could care less if Bjorklund ever shoots a single 3 pointer in his career. We can always find guys to launch 3 pointers, its finding a big man who can score down low that can be a challenge.

Who is gonna be SDSU's guy that can score on the block? Is Dykstra that guy?

It will be interesting to watch the Bjorklund/Wright vs Dykstra/Heemstra matchup in the future.

And Cordova probably already knew he wasnt coming back by that time also. His delay cost SDSU a good recruit IMO.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, Bjorklund & Gruis are more PF/C and Dykstra is more of SF.

        Bjorkland - NDSU
        Min 21.1 \ Pts 10.4 \ Reb 5.8 \ Ast 0.9 \ Stl 0.6 \ Blk 0.7 \ FG% 72 \ FT% 65 \3pt% 0

        Dykstra - SDSU
        Min 19.8 \ Pts 7.3 \ Reb 4.9 \ Ast 1.2 \ Stl 0.9 \ Blk 0.7 \ FG% 42 \ FT% 60 \3pt% 38

        Gruis - SDSU
        Min 23.0 \ Pts 8.5 \ Reb 6.3 \ Ast 0.9 \ Stl 0.6 \ Blk 0.3 \ FG% 61 \ FT% 73 \3pt% 0

These stats were compiled after last nights games.

Jordan has taken off since the previous post and is putting up big numbers. He's improved his FG% by 12pts, FT by 12pts, and 3pt by 9pts. He leads most categories even though he is playing the least minutes.

Gruis has remained steady and has improved his numbers slightly. He is getting more minutes than the other two and is playing against lesser competition in teams like UND and NJIT.

Bjorkland has gone pretty quiet since the last stats were posted. He still shoots a high FG% but only shoots 5 /game.

        Bjorkland - NDSU
        Min 22.2 \ Pts 8.9 \ Reb 5.5 \ Ast 0.7 \ Stl 0.5 \ Blk 0.5 \ FG% 65 \ FT% 67 \3pt% 0

        Dykstra - SDSU
        Min 20.5 \ Pts 10.6 \ Reb 5.3 \ Ast 1.2 \ Stl 0.7 \ Blk 0.6 \ FG% 54 \ FT% 72 \ 3pt% 47

        Gruis - SDSU
        Min 26.0 \ Pts 9.8 \ Reb 7.3 \ Ast 1.2 \ Stl 0.6 \ Blk 0.6 \ FG% 61 \ FT% 62 \3pt% 0

It was fun watching Jordan battle inside with big #5 last night. He really has a quickness advantage against that type of player.

If Jordan can develop some of the post moves that Feigen has he will be very, very good.

Sometimes he still brings the ball down low instead of keeping it up high.

He's an incredible athlete for someone his size, though. Fun to watch.

I agree with your evaluation of Dykstra, and I agree, he need to keep the ball high.

I would also like to note that he has shown steady improvement throughout the season, and has grown more comfortable playing the post at this level.
