Why didn't you include 3pt percentage in your list of stats?

Bjorklund is playing a little bit better so far, but I'm not sure it's well enough to say he has a leg up...

NDSU beat us therefore Bjorklund has a leg up. Only stat that matters! My money will be on Dykstra for the career.

I agree. I was impressed with Bjorklund. I think Dykstra is equally as talented but it seems clear that his role is a little different. We don't look to post him or isolate him in the post nearly as much as NDSU does with Bjorklund. Dykstra has a far superior outside game, I am confident of that.

You'll notice I said outside game not 3-point percentage. Tongue expected.

The stats on the official Bison website show Bjorklund is 0 for 0 on three point attempts, which according to my Minnesota math is 0 %,not 100 %.

I have watched replays of a number of Jacks games on the Midcontinent Sports Network. Dykstra is a talented player without a doubt. That is certainly no surprise. During his recruiting, a great basketball mind said (paraphrasing), "if they get Dykstra to go with Wolters, you guys (NDSU) are in big trouble."

I agree that Dykstra has a far better developed outside game than Bjorklund. However, Bjorklund has a better developed INSIDE game, and he has been a great fit with the Bison. Personally, I am much more comfortable with NDSU's style of play--especially in big games. It seems like the Jacks have become a "donut" style team on the offensive end and their dependence on outside shooting can bite them on any given night.

Very accurate description. I am concerned that Jordan has too good a face up game and that he will not be able to develop a back to the basket game like Bjorklund already has. I think Tony Fiegen has come along ways in that respect so I am hopeful that Jordan will be willing to add that to his repertoire. I am also a little concerned with our dependency on the outside shot but feel like Coach Nagy will find the right flow and get the most from this team. I remain optimistic.

Vehemently disagree. Dumb post by you.

And I agree with Hando that Bjorkland has the edge thus far. I've only seen him play against SDSU and he handled Dykstra inside. Far from over though. Should be fun to watch for the next 3 and a half years.

honestly I think all 3 will be studs for most of thier careers. I wish we would have been able to keep Gruis along with the Iowa boys, but that is neither here nor there. Bjorklund seems to have a more established team to be put into, both Dykstra and Gruis are learning as they go with young teams.

Hard to really quantify this comparison but here are the current stats.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, Bjorklund & Gruis are more PF/C and Dykstra is more of SF.

                              Bjorkland - NDSU
                              Min 21.1 \ Pts 10.4 \ Reb 5.8 \ Ast 0.9 \ Stl 0.6 \ Blk 0.7 \ FG% 72 \ FT% 65 \3pt% 0

                              Dykstra - SDSU
                              Min 19.8 \ Pts 7.3 \ Reb 4.9 \ Ast 1.2 \ Stl 0.9 \ Blk 0.7 \ FG% 42 \ FT% 60 \3pt% 38

                              Gruis - SDSU
                              Min 23.0 \ Pts 8.5 \ Reb 6.3 \ Ast 0.9 \ Stl 0.6 \ Blk 0.3 \ FG% 61 \ FT% 73 \3pt% 0

IMO, we would have had Gruis, BIG IF we would have known that Cordova was not coming back.
