Good job, Jacks. I'm feeling pretty good about this team.

There are a lot or reasons to feel good if not great about this team and the potential for success. It's all relative to where we have been and where we want to be. As orucan noted in the other thread, these Canadian teams are not at the level of even the worst teams in the DI ranks and the trip was much more about practice and repetition and less about victory. Still, nice to see the new player contributing and the returners accepting of their role.

I agree, this trip was no real predictor of success this season. But after talking to some of the players, they all seem to feel it was a positive trip in terms of getting better and moving forward.

The biggest thing that seem to resonate was the team buiding aspect. There really seems to be a lot of "Team" chemistry - on and off the court. You can't beat game situations for creating opportunities for each player to see their abilities and get on the same wave length so one player will move and react without even thinking about it.

It means nothing more than 10 extra practices and 4 chances for everyone to gain court time against a common opponent. And I'm not diminishing it, this definately looks to be a prime year to capitalize on this extra organized practice and exhibition action.

Now it going to be even tougher to wait until November, or even more so December for really meaningful games. It's going to be a fun year.
