A double kerblastification. Way to go, Jacks. A very encouraging start to the pre-pre-season.

          Re: Jackrabbits in Winnipeg

I was able to watch some of last nights game and I was happy to see we did push the ball in transition. Nagy had said that they were not going to focus on pushing the ball, but thought we could take advantage of spreading the floor in the half court.

Now pushing the ball against these Canadian teams and doing that against D-1 teams is a different story. One, the Canadian teams may not be as fast as what we will see this season and with the 24 second clock you have to push the ball or you end up taking bad shots late in the clock.

So far so good with the pre-pre-season

          Go State!!!!

Not sure that the competition we are seeing up there provides much of a challenge but I sure like seeing box scores with 20+ rebounding margins and having 9 fewer turnovers.

That to me shows some serious effort no matter how good the opponent may be.

I too question the challenge of the competition. Seems too easy. Its hard to make any generalizations about the quality of competition in Canada. I would say they are more on the NAIA level, but could be wrong. Plus I think with no practices, unlike the Jacks, we do have an edge in game preparation.

I would think our young guys will keep things in perspective and not expect a blowout every game.

I agree with the level of competition being questionable, but I also recall how in the not-too-distant past, we struggled to beat, let alone whoop, NAIA-level competition.

I totally agree with this statement. I remember not to long ago when we worried a little bit about the men's team no matter who the competition. We seem to be far past that and this is a whole new set of guys.

I don't think we are going to get anything tonight. Terry is back in the US so no live blogs from him. Outside of that I don't think the coverage is too good up there.

I'm curious too. I hope we at least get a final score from the SDSU staff.

                                Per Terry V:

SDSU beats Winnipeg 94-52 in Game 3 of its international trip. Nate Wolters led the way with 16 pts.
