Congratulations to Megan Mingo, who today won the Summit League Women's Golf championship. She trailed by one stroke on the first day of the tourney, took a 3 stroke lead yesterday, and finished first by two strokes over a Denver golfer. Denver won the team championship with SDSU second. Way to go Jacks!

Re: SDSU's Mingo wins Summit Championship
They did have a really good season, currently ranked #69th (Golfweek Rankings) in the nation and will just miss the NCAA Regional field as an at-large team. The magic number on getting an at-large bid in women's golf this year is 55 according to Golfweek.
Their season was by far the most successful in the D1 era. 5 wins this year, 2 runner-ups and all tournaments they were in the top-5 outside of 1 event. Last year Denver beat SDSU by 52 strokes - this year it was a mere 6 strokes. This is the 3rd runner-up finish for the women's golf team in the SL tourney.
Congrats to the 3 seniors Megan Mingo (Yankton, SD), Hallie Getz (Pierre, SD) and Islamiah Fuad (Malaysia). They have helped elevate this program to new heights and they will be missed.
