I think the big one is JR Plote, DE from Mountain Pointe (AZ) chose the Jacks over offers from S. Illinois, Air Force, and New Mexico State.
It was just posted on 24-7 football.com
Then on Scout.com it shows this kid as a verbal to South Dakota State
DE -Bryan Burke, 6'4" 230, AZ AZ Scottsdale-JUCO,

That's great news, we've been on Plote for a while, I believe his dad is from Iowa and moved to Arizona to play football in college. This is defiantly the best recruiting class I've seen at SDSU.

Here's a good article on JR and his family. Both his parents are deaf.

I like this.
Found this on Scout.com on Plote: http://hsarizona.scout.com/a.z?s=222...=1&nid=4651143
You have to think that the win against Southern Illinois was big in getting this kid. He just had his visit at SIU this past weekend.

Re: 2011 Recruiting List
Lots of kids from Brandon on the roster. Maybe BVHS should be called the south campus.

Re: 2011 Recruiting List
Dale is legit. Watched him play rec. for 2 years at Brandon. He may have played football if Nagy would not offered him so early. Coach Meadows has stayed in contact with him all four years and I know they are very interested in him playing this next season. I will try to put together some football video with some of his catches, you will be impressed.

Let the guy play if he wants. He'll learn what he needs to learn without the coaches having to "invest" a ton of time in him. Heck, he's already a DI athletes. He knows the demands, he'll adapt.
And at the very least he'll push the returning players to compete for positions even more. Nothing like some good healthy competition on the team for playing time.

From his bio on gojacks.com...
named to the Argus Leader Elite-45 in football ... set school records with 45 receptions and ten touchdowns ... conference champion and 4th at the state meet in the long jump as a senior ... named the Lynx Award winner, the highest honor a Brandon Valley athlete can earn ... honor student
Personal: Dale’s uncle Johnny Rodgers won the 1972 Heisman Trophy and earned All-American honors in 1971 and 1972 at Nebraska. His cousin Bobby Newcome played for the ‘Huskers from 1997-2000 and played in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals.

BTW, IMHO if he can outleap the defender, he doesn't need to outrun him!

As far as a previous statement, we do have some height at WR. Rollin is 6'1" and Freshman Jason Schneider is 6'3" and received some good reviews in fall camp. We also are bringing in 6'1" Trevor Sikink, he likely won't play next season but should help down the road.
Height at WR is a bit overrated anyways. Sure you would like to have a receiver in the 6'1" to 6'3" range, but speed, route running, and hands are all more important. It's hard to find a WR that has those three attributes and is tall because FBS schools grab them up.
