Looks like a very good player. Great speed & instincts, really attacks the ball in the air. Not sure how he hasn't received FBS offers but one might be coming if he's visiting Colorado this weekend.

This kid is a player. Looks out of our reach but would be a fantastic steal IMO.

Article on TJ Lally and his friendship with NDSU recruit Nick Scoliere. The article also mentions a lineman who has an offer from E. Michigan and walk-on offers from Illinois and Minnesota. I wonder if SDSU has shown any interest?

TV mentioned in his live blog that JUCO DE Bryan Burke was a 3-Star recruit coming out of high school.

    Here's the proof:

He announced his choice on Monday. Combs is a standout athlete who has the physical tools to be a standout at inside linebacker.

Again, I'm thrilled with our list of linebacker commitments - including our most recent TJ Lally. This group is very fast and each is heralded in their respective state as premier linebackers.
Shoot...this is too bad. I am pleased with the LB commits we have, but it would have been nice to get Combs as we are/were looking at a number of his teammates as well and Chapparel would be a great high school in AZ to build a connection with.

SDSU has landed another verbal from an Arizona JUCO CB

David Godley, 6'0" 185, Glendale Junior College

    http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73...=1&nid=4847083

Godley was reported as receiving an offer from SDSU a couple weeks ago, it appears we were his only DI offer.

Scratch another offered recruit. Isaac Lintz will be taking his game to UNI.

I love Reggie Gandy, but I'm not thrilled with the propects of playing against Isaac. He apparently made his commitment over the weekend.

What is the scoop on Pickerel? I've tried to find out more information on him with marginal success as a recruit. Will he be getting a scholly or preferred walk-on?

He did make 2nd team all-state in Class 6 as an all-purpose running back, but he played QB for the last 2 years. He apparently has a nice frame at 6'1" 190 lbs and has a brother who is a sprinter for the University of Missouri.

The following preseason story was interesting.

Pickerel is all conference and all state in Missouri, and "consistently cover 40 yards in the 4.5-second range". I personally like quarterbacks that convert to safety's. They usually play smart (understand the plays and looks better) and this guy has some speed and enough height to go with it. His school produces a lot of d-1 talent, and it is in his blood. He got hurt last fall with a couple games left but had a ton of production before that.
