Sometimes you can prepare too much and play flat sometimes not enough. Don't know what happened today but Stig better figure something out cause Lennons got his number.

I think the play-calling has been bad all year, it just shown through today against a very good opponent.

Home from the game. Picard's picture explains the game. SIU downright embarassed the Jackrabbits today. Bleh.

At this point I am not taking anything for granted. WE have to show up to beat WIU.

I am so torn at this point on Stig. I think he is a tremendous role model. I am still not sold on his Xs and Os proficieny>>>>Or argumentatively his abilty/willingness to make personnel decisions. Did he wait too long to bring TOB in? I would say yes. Ryan showed that SIU had absolutley no fear of him going beyond 10-15 yards. TOB showed immediately that he could complete those passes and beyond. I am all about loyalty and I LOVE players like Ryan Crawford. His skill set just didn't match up against the opponent today. Today, I believe TOB gave us the best chance to win. Doesn't mean we would have, I just believe it would have given us a better chance. Ryan might be the better choice against others given their defensive scheme. Easy to be me posting from 3000 miles away - but.....

I just knew that eventually, one of those outs was going to get jumped and turned into a pick 6.

And AGAIN, we can't finish a first half drive and settle for a FG from inside the 5. Everybody knows we're going to try to pound it up the middle for the score...run something different there please.

Meh, we ran mostly the the same plays (outs} with TOB that we ran with RC. But yes, I don't really care what happens next week, I'll assume a loss. We HAVE to show up at WIU.

It ran through my head about half way through the game today....we've started off so many years recently 0-3. This year, we possibly may END 0-3. THAT would be a bummer.

You are right Rowdy, it was a lot of outs....but the ball got out quickly enough and had enough pace that it was completed more often than not.

                    Re: GDT: SDSU v SIU

The flow of the game changed with the clipping call on Steffen. Touchdown would have been scored without the block being thrown. I was really surprised Thomas didn't start the second half. The running plays at the start of the second quarter were horrible. Everyone knows the ball is going to be run up the middle, but yet we still run the ball there. SDSU was so ready to go to a pass after every good first down run, where was it there? Someone else needs to be making the play calls when SDSU gets inside the 5 yard line.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

When they knew the pressure was coming on the blitz why not run some quick draws, roll outs, play action passes. Short yardage at the goal line a quarterback sneak from one inch out. If it aint working change it up

There is no chance you guys lose to WIU, no possibility. Tough game today, but SIU is a REALLY good team. WIU has no idea how to win right now.

Torn??? In What way? Are you saying we need to fire coach stigs after one loss? This was just one game. Today we were just out played by a better team.

The sun will come up tomorrow, and hopefully the team and coaching staff will learn from today as they get ready for the rest of the season and the playoffs. Next week will be tough as the Gophers now need the game to get bowl eligible ( if you want to see a real melt-down,go to their board ).. The coaching decision I would question is not having your power back in the game if you are going to run the ball 3 times on first and goal from their one yard line.
