    Re: North Dakota State

I'm guessing (and this is an educated guess) that if Crawford is 80 percent or better, he'll start. Why? One of the knocks on TOB during the QB competition was that he struggles a little when under pressure. MSU rushed four and dropped back in coverage against us, so there was essentially no pressure applied at all. Certainly TOB played great against MSU and we saw why he's going to be a really great player here. But it's one thing to pick apart MSU and another to deal with the kind of pressure that Preston Evans and NDSU can bring. That's not a knock on TOB. It's an experience thing.

One thing Crawford has demonstrated is that he is fearless under pressure. NDSU is certainly more capable of bringing pressure than MSU was. We'll see what the doctors say, but if Craw is mobile, I'll bet that he'll start.
    Holy nutmeg!

Not sure if this has been reported here yet but NDSU running back Pat Paschall has been suspended for one game for throwing a punch in the game against UNI.

Thats a blow to the Bison for sure. I know that they say their backups are good as well, but to lose one of the top rushers in FCS is a big blow.

Had a feeling that was coming. He absolutely deserved it even though he was ridden out of bounds by the Panther defender. Huge blow to the Bison as he is one of the best in the MVC.

            Ouch.

If you're walking on the street in downtown Fargo, beware of falling Bison fans, flinging themselves from roofs and windows after hearing that news.

Great, a built-in excuse for Bison fans if they lose. Won't be the ref's fault this time, it will be the league's fault for suspending Paschall.

Is the suspension immediate? In other words, is it for the SDSU game?

Not really, people and the team are probably going to be a little angry about how this went down though. UNI was doing a lot of chippy things and it was their player that rode Paschall into the wall. Both should be sitting out next game.

Sigh....three years and 0 legitimate wins. At least they still give us the Marker for them

Yeah, that was a pretty chippy game. I watched some of the replay on FS last night and that first half was one of the longest I've ever seen with all of the penalties. Hopefully the ref's swallow their whistles this weekend. Nothing worse than the flow of a game ruined by whistle happy refs.

They still will have a rushing game to be reconed with however. Watching clips of some of Pashalls highlights, the majority of FCS running backs would have a good year behind that line they have. They open up some big ol' holes for their backs. Not trying to belittle what PP has done, but they still have that o-line this game, so they still should have a solid run game.

That crew of officials has tied the MVFC record for most penalties twice this year and of course broke the old record on Saturday. Hopefully the league reviewed a little bit more of that game than just that fight.

Has there been an official announcement of a suspension for Paschell, or is that just speculation?

Not condoning the punch, but after watching that game, there seem to be a lot of UNI players with REALLY bad attitudes. It's a shame that Paschall had to lose his cool.
